Cute neighborhood based store. The name pulled me in, plus the setting, a short walk from home. Unfortunately the baked goods are not that appealing, not really on display in an appealing manner. The food we tried was dry and did not pop. It almost felt like day-old food from another location that had been wrapped and transported in plastic wrap. The coffee was good, but there are, fortunately, now other options in Spokane like 1st Street Coffee Hammer Roasting, and Indaba....
One of the best things about Spokane's South Hill is the neighborhood's Rocket Bakery. My wife and I used to frequent this coffee shop multiple times a week, walking there after work or during lunch breaks while working from home in the post-pandemic work from home landscape. This is a famous bakery in Spokane with a few locations. I particularly liked this one because it is in the middle of a neighborhood with a nice vibe.
On the other hand, I didn't like that they wrap each baked good in plastic, not only it looks terrible but it is plastic and a bunch of it, for that reason I will not give 5 stars.
