Rockwood Bakery is the highlight of Spokane's South Hill. Friendly staff, amazing pastry selection, great coffee, espresso, and espresso drinks. The bakery itself is a local institution, and is always busy in the mornings and especially on the weekends. It's one of the closest experiences you can get to a Parisian café that locals visit, but in Spokane. I don't know how to explain it better than that. Rockwood is great, we miss it very much! Go, if you have a chance.
Parking: You can usually always find a spot, but be prepared to walk around the corner or maybe a block on busy Saturday mornings.

I love Rockwood Bakery and have been going there for many years. I love the vibe. I always got a (orange) chocolate chip scone and it was yummy. Unfortunately for some time now, the scones have gotten consistently much smaller and they're always overbaked and very dry. I no longer get them. You can tell they're totally overbaked just by looking at them in the case. My husband is always disappointed with the food. It's really too bad because the place is so cool & inviting and the employees are always super nice.

Arrived shortly after it opened and this place was packed (the line went out the door)! Service was absolutely great; the servers were friendly and kind, food and drinks were out quickly and everything tasted great.

I ordered a 12oz Chai Tea Latte this morning and to my disappointment, it was awful and nothing like the previous three I have ordered in the past. I was too afraid to say anything because the person may have been new. The latte was lukewarm and mostly foam and no design was made as before. He forgot the cinnamon and nutmeg, so when I asked he just sprinkled it on top. I know this complaint seems trivial but when one pays almost five dollars for a beverage, it’s a real bummer when it is awful as this latte was.
