We visit Manito Park every time we come to Spokane, but this was the first time we had ever tried the Rockwood Bakery, and it was a nice surprise. Love the decor, just felt like a warm, inviting space to sit and enjoy a nice coffee and a wonderful baked item. The Counterperson was bright, cheerful, and seemed to really enjoy her job - which was very refreshing to see. I had a HUGE slice of strawberry rhubarb pie (with whipped cream on the side!), and my wife had a blueberry muffin. My pie was awesome, my Wife thought the muffin was a little dry, but had good flavor. Prices were very reasonable. We will be back for sure!

I stopped by Rockwood Bakery in the Rockwood neighborhood of Spokane after visiting Twisted Stitch Yarn. The bakery is a sizeable location with serious traffic on a Saturday. Even then, there was plenty of seating in the back of the big space. And there are quite a few large tables for bigger groups.
I loved the energy in the front of the store and the staff is quite nice. The clerk addressed me almost immediately when I stood in front of the baked goods display case. I liked that because I didn’t have to go chasing someone. That was good.
The snickerdoodle cookie I bought was massive. It wasn’t a little tidbit. This was a cookie the size of a desert plate. I love it. And, most importantly it tasted really good. It was a good road snack as I traveled around Spokane working on business.
I love the hand written menu - it’s a fun touch. It beats the plastic electronic displays. It gives you a comfortable feel like it’s a small location. The warm plank flooring adds to the feel of the location. It’s a bit different than the more modern outside, but it works.

Love this place. Have eaten here many times over the years and always had good baked goods and really. Good Mochas.
If you are into loud dissonance, coffee and no access to internet, this is the place for you! To be honest, it is exactly what I needed. I have allowed myself to get waaay too deep into the virtual world of reel swiping and negative news. Stepping back into this 20th century coffeehouse and people watching like the old days is the first step toward recovery from my dopamine addiction🙂
This is a wonderful, family welcoming bakery. The food is delicious 😋 and the people are very kind. Many bring their pups and the park is a short distance away if you fancy a walk after your treat! Sweet bakery items, hot dishes, salads, coffee drinks, and more.
Everything looked great. Will be back for another treat

Rockwood Bakery is the highlight of Spokane's South Hill. Friendly staff, amazing pastry selection, great coffee, espresso, and espresso drinks. The bakery itself is a local institution, and is always busy in the mornings and especially on the weekends. It's one of the closest experiences you can get to a Parisian café that locals visit, but in Spokane. I don't know how to explain it better than that. Rockwood is great, we miss it very much! Go, if you have a chance.
Parking: You can usually always find a spot, but be prepared to walk around the corner or maybe a block on busy Saturday mornings.

I love Rockwood Bakery and have been going there for many years. I love the vibe. I always got a (orange) chocolate chip scone and it was yummy. Unfortunately for some time now, the scones have gotten consistently much smaller and they're always overbaked and very dry. I no longer get them. You can tell they're totally overbaked just by looking at them in the case. My husband is always disappointed with the food. It's really too bad because the place is so cool & inviting and the employees are always super nice.

Arrived shortly after it opened and this place was packed (the line went out the door)! Service was absolutely great; the servers were friendly and kind, food and drinks were out quickly and everything tasted great.

Their hours are super short. I'm used to coffee lounges being open late for studying, group mtgs, hanging out.
