We visit Manito Park every time we come to Spokane, but this was the first time we had ever tried the Rockwood Bakery, and it was a nice surprise. Love the decor, just felt like a warm, inviting space to sit and enjoy a nice coffee and a wonderful baked item. The Counterperson was bright, cheerful, and seemed to really enjoy her job - which was very refreshing to see. I had a HUGE slice of strawberry rhubarb pie (with whipped cream on the side!), and my wife had a blueberry...

I stopped by Rockwood Bakery in the Rockwood neighborhood of Spokane after visiting Twisted Stitch Yarn. The bakery is a sizeable location with serious traffic on a Saturday. Even then, there was plenty of seating in the back of the big space. And there are quite a few large tables for bigger groups.

I loved the energy in the front of the store and the staff is quite nice. The clerk addressed me almost immediately when I stood in front of the baked goods display...

If you are into loud dissonance, coffee and no access to internet, this is the place for you! To be honest, it is exactly what I needed. I have allowed myself to get waaay too deep into the virtual world of reel swiping and negative news. Stepping back into this 20th century coffeehouse and people watching like the old days is the first step toward recovery from my dopamine addiction🙂
