Came in for brunch. Saw Tony brown himself in the kitchen so we were excited for a great meal. Instead we got served raw pancakes. Not sure what else there is to say.

A wonderfully well rounded experience. The bartenders here are personable and attentive. Many employees manage to juggle serving and making drinks effortless as well. I was deeply impressed by how willing the bartenders were to help the patrons, even when seated in another section. Talk about going above and beyond!

Happy Hour must not be the time to come to this place on a Saturday. This place was nearly empty and the service was so slow. Must have been short staffed because we had to go get the bartender's attention a couple times when we needed something. The options were not great on a crumpled up paper menu. There weren't great appetizers at all on the menu. The dishes sounded interesting and three of us decided on the meatball and pasta dish. I was not a fan as my meatballs were burnt. The service was so slow! The table adjacent to us sat dirty the entire time and a spider even crawled out behind my jacket on the bench seat near the window. Not a great experience for us that's for sure.

I have been going to Ruins for years and I love the new location in Kendal Yards. We chose Ruins for our holiday dinner for work and Tony was amazing to work with. He created a 3 course menu just for our group and not one person was disappointed. The service is always great, the dirty fries is always a hit. The food/menu is elevated, it’s always changing. The Caesar salad and Pappardelle is a fave! This place is incredible. If you haven’t been you’re missing out.

We held a group holiday gathering here and the team was amazing! Quick service, staffed very well, food service was executed so well! Our food was delicious and the atmosphere is really nice, especially during the holidays with all the lights. Thank you!

Fast service. Food was delicious. Caesar salad was better than any in recent memories. Love how the croutons of bread and cheese are smaller and spread through out so each bite has a crunch. Cheese was pleasant surprise with the crunch. Ribeye was cooked perfectly. Large portion. I dont usually like mashed potatoes but these were great as it soaked up all the flavor from the steak. Delicious.

My husband and I went to the old location and the food was fantastic! Highly recommend.
Been here for all iterations of service. Brunch lunch and dinner several times. Came with both large groups and small.
Didn’t have a good experience with the food or service.
Tony’s lost his touch. This place reeks of burnout. Don’t waste your time or money.
Had many friends come here as well and state similar experiences.

We decided to try out the latest incarnation of Ruins, since their recent move to the Kendall Yards area. We loved the atmosphere and lunch menu, although my first choice of Bahn Mi sandwich was not available today. The Cuban was good, but the real star was the fried egg sandwich my wife ordered. What an interesting combination with the addition of pickled onions and a tasty sauce. We will come back for dinner, but so far this is much improved since our last visit.

Absolutely love the food here. Ordering is a challenge because everything looks delicious and in fact, it is! Unfortunately, there is a major disconnect between the exceptional quality and creativity of the food and the overall dining experience. We loved the space as Park Lodge. But as Ruins, the lighting is too bright and the staff couldn't be less interested in creating an experience for the customer. Sadly, our server was not only inattentive; he knew next to nothing about the food. We asked a couple of questions about ingredients and preparation and he tried to make up an answer which was sad because he should know and furthermore, want to know about the dishes he is serving. We had heard that the service is disappointing and our experience validated that. We will continue to come back which probably doesn't provide any incentive for management to deal with this issue but I really hope they will. The service is a disservice to this local landmark.

Food is great. Service was not great. We sat at the bar. The people sitting next to us were actually wait staff eating and still waiting on tables. There were 2 tables that had customers and 2 other couples at the bar including ourselves, so not busy. It took so long, even though it was very slow. We finally got our food and as we were eatting, 2 servers starting assembling silverware into napkins right next to us. It seemed odd not to do it at the many open tables, but decided next to us was the best place.
I've been here maybe 6 times since they moved into the neighborhood. Only 2 out of the 6 were good experiences. I haven't written a bad review prior because I wanted to give them time to sort things out. After talking to a number of neighbors who live next to Ruins, we decided the best course of action was to write a review so hopefully they can resolve the service issues.

I want to start by saying I love and support Ruins! My husband and I, along with another couple, recently visited Ruins’ new location. We were very excited as every experience in their other location had been great. The food was still excellent! We were greeted with a friendly host but that was where the good service stopped. We were seated on the patio, which has a lovely view - their new location is perfect. Really set the stage for what should have been (and we expected) an incredible experience. Our service was terrible. The restaurant was not full, actually about 1/2 capacity, and there seemed to be plenty of staff. We waited at least 20- 30 minutes between our servers stops at our table - to order, to get drinks, to get water, to get our check, etc. Meanwhile, we can see him along with other staff hanging out and visiting with each other inside. After waiting for over 30 minutes, we finally had to get up, go inside and interrupt their discussion to request our check. He still didn’t come out to give us our check for another 10 minutes.
I’m not saying any of this to discourage others from visiting. I’m really hoping the owners will see this and make changes. I want Ruins to succeed but service needs to be a priority

Without a doubt the best restaurant in Spokane. From start to finish the food was flawless: delicious, inventive and delicious! We've found our new favorite place!

Ordered sourdough pancakes, and another dish, served 2 pancakes the size of a dinner plate, came with about 2 tablespoons of syrup in a ramekin, had to ask for butter and by the time they brought it pancakes, were lukewarm and butter was Cold, of course did not melt. Pretty unappetizing to eat chunks of cold butter! Other dish was mediocre. Wait staff was friendly but way too chummy. I am of the mind that restaurants should have a professionalism to it not assuming they've known you for years and ask personal questions.
There were only two other people in the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon doubt this place will make it
