Skippers has been around for a long time, yet this was my first time eating there. I ordered a soda and a fish fillet, usually or at least I thought that a fish fillet came on a bun but it came as 2 pieces like strips about the width of a typical carrot. It was cod. Then I had a soda which was $3 dollars so my total bill was nearly $7 after tax way way overpriced for a soda, and they only had one size one price, the cup I’d say was about a 16-20oz Or medium equivalent so I gave them 4/5 stars for that reason. They do have family size combo meals which appeared to be fairly reasonable priced for the portions. For a family I give it A thumbs up for an individual as myself I didn’t feel this establishment was cost effective.
I don't think I'll be back but that isn't to say the experience was bad. It just wasn't good. Fish & Chips were just ok. They were borderline greasy but I would not say they were greasy. Most of the fish was flaky but parts were mushy. All and all a middle of the road experience. The shrimp basket was a high point and perhaps on its own a worth a 2nd trip.We asked for no coleslaw but it was put on the plate and then removed without bothering to even wipe the original plate.
Spokane Wa June 2023The only time I can have skippers is when I visit Washington and it’s been years. My family and I found the skippers in Spokane and had an excellent dinner. The chowder was hot and wonderful. The coleslaw was crispy fresh fish was fried to perfection and fries were excellent. I was sorry to see Skippers leave California.
Wheelchair accessibility: My wheelchair was maneuvered easily.
I'm glad to see the new owner and his sister are continuing the very fine food menu and are promoting a new atmosphere. Now instead of the plastic fish baskets you can eat on real plates, and it appears to me the portions are larger. The restaurant is very clean and they are super friendly and fast! The prices are good for the product and amount of food you get! (for 3 adults with drinks and tip under $60.00)Please stop by and support the only Skippers in our area!
This restaurant has been in that location since I was a kid. Always has had good fish. Owners have changed since I was young but the quality remains.
First time I ate there and the food was phenomenal great job loved it I recommended and will come back
We ordered fish and chips and clam chowder. There were about half a dozen tables filled, the restaurant was cozy, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. The food was cooked to order at the time of the order. Do it was served hot. Give them a try I think you will be pleased. ( they are known for there chowder, rightly so,)
Parking: Large lit, easy in, handicapped parking
We went for lunch. It was good. We all got seafood platter's. They were fried. Contained fish, shrimp, clams and french fries, also a cup of clam chowder. I didn't care for the clam chowder. The restaurant was clean. I would go back for fish and chips.
Parking: Plenty of parking.
Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of parking. Handicapped parking spot. Could get a wheelchair into the restaurant and eat
We visited Skippers two weeks ago hoping for some delicious clam chowder. It was a Saturday evening. Sad to say that my favorite chowder tasted watered down and lacked flavor. If you are trying to cut cost this is not the way to do it. I am willing to pay the increase in cost to maintain quality. Otherwise you have become another restaurant i no longer enjoy going to. ?
May the seafood of my Idaho youth remain open for the remainder of my days! It's the best chowder on earth. This location specifically was outstanding in terms of friendly staff and great hospitality.

This location needs a little bit of maintenance. Other reviews document some of the issues. Food is inexpensive and what you expect of a skippers restaurant.
We went rembering the Skippers of our childhood. The fish all you can eat was not the same at all. It used to be cod and very good. The fish we had this time was not good. The ? and coleslaw were good. The place itself was not well kept and frankly a bit grungy. We won't be returning.
3/16/23 visit at 7pm.Customer service, they were seemingly nice. Ultimately lacking good customer service. Definitely got a sense they just wanted to close. The food was not edible and it was a complete waste of $40. The clam chowder coagulated and cold with no clam or potatoes. The soda was out if carbonation, I did bring this to staff attention but it wasn’t fixed. The women checked on us and noticed none of the soup was ate yet said nothing. I didn’t say anything because the other food was still being prepared. I’m not comfortable airing my dissatisfaction before receiving my food. I received cod, fries and Coleslaw. The fries where perfectly crunchy but in the end all fried food just tasted like oil. My son also indicated he was not satisfied with his food shrimp, chicken and fries. We opted for skippers because he enjoys trying new places to eat and unfortunately it was disappointing on every level. However the coleslaw was fresh and good. The dishes and utensils were dirty including the cup. The entire place was filthy in the lobby. My food was brought to go even though ordered to eat in.The worst part is that there was far right wing news entertainment radio running and I don’t care if it was left, right or middle. I just wanted to enjoy dinner with my son and couldn’t. There’s enough stress in the world and I don’t want to hear politics or news at dinner. People go out to enjoy each other’s company not to listen to entertainment news. When you do better, your business will do better. I contemplated disputing the charges but I decided against it.Please just do better.
Outstanding service and the food was all fresh. These guys are trying their hardest with what the big corporation gives them as far as food. Super crispy and made right in the spot. The employees were all awesome and super friendly and helpful. I've never had a bad experience here other than the fish quality but that's what you get when eat fast food. The inside could use some work as far as decor, it still looks like the inside of a skippers I ate at 30 years ago.
The service was good and the employees are doing their best!! However, the place is dirty. The fish tank needs some help. I think it would liven the place up with a clean environment. The cups and utensils we got were dirty and my gf wiped them clean with a napkin. Then. The. Food. We got the Skippers sampler meal... it had no flavor, the oil from being fried tasted old, and the clam chowder tasted like the bottom of a can. I have been to Skippers before and it's never been like this! It use to be so inviting and yummy food.
