Skippers has been around for a long time, yet this was my first time eating there. I ordered a soda and a fish fillet, usually or at least I thought that a fish fillet came on a bun but it came as 2 pieces like strips about the width of a typical carrot. It was cod. I don't think I'll be back but that isn't to say the experience was bad. It just wasn't good. Fish & Chips were just ok. They were borderline greasy but I would not say they were greasy. Most of the fish was flaky but parts were mushy. All and all a middle of the road experience. Spokane Wa June 2023The only time I can have skippers is when I visit Washington and it’s been years. My family and I found the skippers in Spokane and had an excellent dinner. The chowder was hot and wonderful. The coleslaw was crispy fresh fish was fried to perfection and fries were excellent. I was sorry to see Skippers leave California.
