First time visiting and unfortunately it will be my last. My wife and I had planned on dinning here tonight but caught an early dinner elsewhere while shopping downtown and decided to just stop by for desserts as we returned to the hotel. After waiting to be seated for nearly ten minutes waiting for the host, a waitress finally spotted us and had to go alert the host to come and seat us. When he did arrive he wanted to know what we wanted, and we said we were hoping to grab a bite. After asking to be seated in the dinning room, we requested desert menus. The host immediately redirected us to the bar informing us if we were just here for desert we would not be allowed to be seated in the dinning room. After being told to take any seat we wanted at the bar, we selecting a booth along the entry wall by the bar and as we sat the Bartender yelled across the lounge “Not that one!” When we looked at him startled he responded “oh well I thought it was funny”. So needless to say I was ready to leave at that point but my wife had her heart set on dessert so I stayed. From this point on the waitress came (she was very professional) the dessert arrived and was delicious. Disappointed that the experience had already been tainted by the initial service. Very glad we did not end up spending any more time or money here than we did. Save yourself the trouble and go to Churchill’s. Never had a bad experience there in all my years.
This is a Texas Roadhouse pretends to be a high end fine dining restaurant. Steaks were not cooked right and the halibut was very salty. The service is in accordance with a medium range restaurant. Don’t waste your money here. Go somewhere else.
Love the atmosphere and attitude of Spencer's. Easy to be relaxed and truly enjoy your company. Our meal overall was excellent with one exception, my Kansas strip was a bit chewy, I know my beef, the steak was cooked perfectly as ordered and very tasty, Bernaise on side was very good. Honestly, when I order Prime beef, I expect it to basically melt in my mouth.
Yes, there will always be some gristle. Just to much this time.
All that being said, I love the place and will be back. Thank you for very enjoyable evening. 🙏
I really enjoyed the smoked halibut сakes and wine. But I didn't like the steak. We ordered the Tomahawk steak, it needed more seasoning.
We had the best time. My steak was perfectly cooked. The service was fantastic.
After a long day at a conference that finished with seeing Hamilton at night, I was starving. Stopped at Spencer’s to eat and ordered a 6 oz steak on a bed of red peppers and onions at 11pm and it was quite good. The staff that afterwards brought me a creme caramel proudly told me that he had them remake the creme caramel because the first one wasn’t toasted enough. I’m guessing he didn’t know that a creme caramel freshly made is a little warm and the one he brought me was probably 40 F. Anyway, two thumbs up overall.
Note: that creme caramel was almost a solid block of toasted caramel and the layer of creme below was marginal.
The food was phenomenal, and the service was great.
The American wagyu was melt in your mouth. The bison steak was of similar caliber. The pork chop, on the other hand, was a roast, not a chop. The thing was huge. But it also was perfect. The sides were very complimentary to the meats and they were also perfect.
Thanks for doing a great job.
An enjoyable experience and delicious food!
Place is a joke, mediocre overpriced food and terrible service. Had a horrible time

WOW. I am a sucker for Ribeye. I instantly honed in on the Bison Ribeye. The presentation was beautiful as I only added on the mushrooms & cognac sauce. The taste just melts in your mouth. I had the Spiced Pear Hot Toddy as the drink, and the mixture caused an explosion of flavor on my tongue. My server, Johnny, was amazing, and Jocelyn was my mixologist/bartender. Great man and has an amazing smile that was very welcoming. This is a "Must Try" for anyone in love with steaks. Amazing atmosphere. Such a warm and cozy feeling. 100 out of 10 stars.

I visited Spencer's for dinner. They only serve a bar menu after 10pm, which was fine because the bar menu had a good variety of items on it. I ended up ordering the Prime bites with a side of fries and creme brulee for dessert. The Prime bites were fantastic and I would highly recommend them. The fries were average, but rather expensive at $8.50... the creme brulee was a disappointment. The presentation on the creme brulee was not great. There was no fruit included like most creme brulees I've had. The service was great and the atmosphere was relaxing. Overall, it was a good experience and I will return.

EXTREMELY overpriced - $10 for some sourdough bread with your dinner, $12 for a small side of carrots, $19 for a small dish of hummus with a few vegetables, etc etc. I had the fish and it said it came with spinach - which ended up being a handful of raw spinach leaves under the piece of fish. My small meal was $114 before tip. On the positive side, my server was exceptional.

First of all we’d seen the menu and prices. Premium prices, yes…-but we were okay as it was a special night with friends.
2 ordered halibut…$45 for halibut filet with no sides. Okay. Absolutely Parmesan covered mush-both ended up truly sick all night. The steak was amazing… the 2 Wedge salads absolutely doused in about 4 Oz. Dressing… It looked like a swamp salad crab cakes were x C+… I’m just so disappointed because we’d had such high expectations. The restaurant was pretty empty which perhaps should have been a clue. The food quality is not the fault of the wait staff… the problem is in the kitchen and after our meal …the Owner/Manager should really go check quality control in the kitchen.

Called after a reservation elsewhere was canceled, and they opened up a Dining room for us last minute to accommodate our party of 9 on a Saturday. Can't speak highly enough of how great the service food and atmosphere is. Servers were all wonderful and the steaks were cooked to perfection.
Will definitely be back!
