Excessively late about having orders done on time. Smells like dirty feet from outside the business and worse once Inside
The food taste and portion sizes were not reasonable for the price. Neither the flavor nor the quantity was up to average standards. Since the restaurant is named Taste of India, I expected at least some authentic flavor to represent Indian cuisine, but unfortunately, it was disappointing. The Veg Biryani, Chicken Biryani, and Shrimp Curry were all bland and lacked taste. Overall, the experience was not satisfying and did not reflect the true flavors of India.
For a place called Taste of India, there was absolutely no taste at all — just shameful. The Biryanis, and Shrimp Curry were all bland, flavorless, and not worth for what u pay. This is nowhere close to Indian food.

Not sure if I’d recommend this restaurant or not. The saag paneer tasted like a blended leafy vegetable purée than saag with just 8–10 small paneer cubes, which isn’t really enough for one person. On the other hand, the naan was good.

I usually don’t write reviews but this place really needs some improvements, 2 of our families went in for dinner, Not welcoming atmosphere at all, Really slow service, When food came that was really dull and no flavour at all basically, Ordered 3 appetizers only pakora came in decent temperature i can say slightly warm no where close to be hot and fresh, Samosa chat was served with cold samosa topped with cold channa sauce, I cant even remember when was last time I had this bad experience with indian food. We will definitely not come back here.

Food was just okay at best—not bad but unimpressive and oddly bland. Had the yellow curry. The service was almost absent. Very dreary and somewhat depressing atmosphere. This place needs updating severely and the bathroom(s) needs to be cleaned. My friend used the other and same report. There is old grime, in the bathrooms from years back, caked on switch plates and throughout walls and door. If I had gone in there before eating I would have left assuming the kitchen was just as bad if not worse. Mango Tree is far better in my opinion. Would not recommend.

Good food overall, but a few issues this time
I generally don’t write negative reviews—especially when it comes to small, local restaurants—but I feel it’s worth sharing this experience in hopes it’s helpful and constructive.
We recently got a takeout of almost 230$ from this place for about 16 people from a tiring 8 hr drive with little kids and were excited for a family meal. The staff were polite, and the restaurant has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. Most of the dishes were flavorful and well-prepared, which we appreciated.
However, we had a couple of issues:
We ordered the Paneer Sabzi specifically for the kids, and unfortunately, it came with a strong burnt smell and taste. It was disappointing, especially since it was intended to be a mild and kid-friendly option.
We also asked for one of the adult dishes to be made spicy—which we typically enjoy—but the spice level was extremely high. It went beyond flavorful heat and became uncomfortable, to the point our lips were burning after just a few bites. A clearer spice scale or warning would have helped manage expectations.
We know every restaurant can have an off day, and this won’t stop us from giving it another try in the future. But I do hope the kitchen can be a little more mindful, especially when preparing dishes for kids or adjusting spice levels.
Overall, there’s great potential here—and a lot of people clearly love this spot—but I just wanted to share our experience in full honesty.

We went for my sister's birthday, there were 4 of us and it was amazing!
Everyone chose their own spice level, and the menu had so many different foods to choose from, I need to go back and try more dishes!
Our server was very kind and quite attentive, I loved everything about our experience there!

Fair lunch pricing (cheaper than Golden Corral), staff are polite, unique cuisine that satisfies, and worth biking 2 miles for.
Maybe if I ordered food it would be better. Had a lot of indian food before but I did not care much for the food here. Food was on warmers, but Naan was room temp. I was here right at opening at 1130. Limited dishes. One tray white rice, one tray Naan, one tray lentil, one tray chicken Tikka masala, one chicken curry, one tray potatoe. one tray tandoori chicken. Cold bar had very limited options too. And dessert was rice pudding type thing. $17 for lunch buffet is excessive for this served. Was in there less than 20 min. No offer of anything besides water to drink. Service was ok.
Got food for 8 from here and everything turned out so delicious. The naan is so big and great flavor. I had the malai kofta and it was exceptionally good. I’d highly recommend giving this a shot if you’re considering it.
It was my first time going to Taste of India and it was such a great experience. Our friend goes there frequently and he recommended the buffet, so that's what we chose. The fried serano pepper and vegetable curry were my favorite. Of course I enjoyed the naan bread, too. I tried most of everything available in the buffet and it was all delicious. The service was fantastic!!! We will definitely be back. If you haven't been to this little gem in Spokane, you should go check it out.
The meat samosas were very nice. A little dry but the seasoning was amazing. The chicken Tikka masala is definitely worth a try. Favorite dish so far.
