This tavern is a great find in a part of Spokane where there aren't a lot of other restaurants. Especially at this quality level. There are two others immediately next to it, an Italian one and a Mexican one, but otherwise you may be searching for something interesting. The elk has a fantastic bar with wonderful beers and ciders on tap. The food was out of the ordinary but still familiar for tavern food. Had the baked potato appetizer and a Caesar salad which obviously common...
Really great pub in the Browns edition. They are famous for their Ruben sandwiches but they have a lot of great offerings including salads. The patio is a nice spot for the warmer months. Definitely a great spot to eat and drink.
Moved back to the area and first time back to The Elk in well over 12 years. Still very good food, casual but clean and tasteful atmosphere. Service was good and plenty of menu and drink choices. Will definitely keep The Elk on the options list when next looking for a good meal.
