I have been all the world and have drank some amazing mixed drinks. The Kretek Smoke Over Manhattan, was probably my favorite so far. The taste of the smoke was amazing. I have to say I was impressed 👍
I had the huge 14oz porterhouse pork chop, amazing taste an cooked just right.
Fantastic location in the elusive Spokane underground catacombs. Beside the oldest standing hotel in Spokane, the Montvale. Treat yourself and go see Brad. You will not regret it.

I have celiac disease and was able to safely eat here! The food was delicious (although not a ton of GF options, but celiacs are used to that) and the drinks were top notch.

I really enjoyed the tater tots that came with my super yummy burger. The waiter Matt was very nice and had lots of fun stories to tell us. I’ll definitely go back.

Bomb food and amazing service, this place is a gem
Used to love this place but have been twice in last month and service was terrible. Seems like lots new staff. Last visit the hostess sent us upstairs to Griffin while waiting for table and Griffin said it was a 30 min wait for a drink or drink card and to tell hostess to stop sending people upstairs. Got text to finally seat our 4 top but hostess wrote 2 top so we had to shuffle tables and chairs it was uncomfortable but we made it work. Went to restroom and there was a server standing leaning on counter on her phone. Came out of stall and had to ask her to move so I could get to sink to wash hands. Total oblivion. Meanwhile our server was nice but didn't come around much. Beers took 15 min to get. Drinks were faster then beer but very hard to get another. The food was still very good but man the service has gone down hill. Will find new place as our go-to fave.

I almost skipped Gilded Unicorn because of some rough online reviews claiming poor service and being ignored. Honestly? That wasn’t our experience at all. It was a packed Friday night, and our table along with the ones around us was fully taken care of. Service was attentive, food came out in a reasonable time, and the atmosphere never felt rushed or neglected. Always glad when a place proves the comments wrong.

Food was amazing. From entrees to main course desert and drinks. All way above what i was expecting. Atmosphere was very unique with great vibes. Service was a little slow as they were busy but other than that the place was amazing! Highly recommend to get a reservation though before arriving. Will be coming back.

4/5. Food. Recommend the Sparkle Burger was AHMAZING! Fries are better than the tots. IMHO. Depends on what u r hankering for. Mushroom stroganoff was not fab. Burned/overcooked shrooms. Meatballs also overcooked.
Second time we fined here food was better. The dry rub wings were perfect. Burger tasty n juicy. Cobb salad was huge. Nice chicken. A bit too much onion for my liking.
Overall. Recommend this place.

The Gilded Unicorn is one of mine and my husband's favorite restaurants in Spokane. The atmosphere is great! Quiet, romantic, unique. The food is amazing. I've enjoyed every meal we've had here! We defintiley have a weakness for the Bocce Rolls🤤 Their cocktails are also killer- very fun flavors and garnishes. The service is great. We are always treated like friends when we visit. We had lots of questions the first time we visited and our server gladly answered each one. When it's a quieter night the staff will happily hang around and chat with you. They all have a great sense of humor! I recommend the Gilded Unicorn to everyone!!

Wow. We were so surprised this is in a hotel…basement? We made reservations for happy hour and had a blast. Erin was our mixologist and server and she rocked it. Her happy hour cocktail was like a spicy ginger hug. She just was amazing. We tried pretty much everything on the happy hour menu- French onion soup was bomb, deviled eggs, tater tot casserole was like pot roast covered gravy delight, the bocci balls were so soft and buttery. For mains we tried the Parmesan whitefish which was fabulous! Garlicky rice and veg with a lemony sauce and a giant fillet of haddock on top. The Caesar salad was really good with the chicken… it had big Parmesan crisps, and some avocado and homemade croutons. The chicken was so buttery and tender. The burger was huge! A healthy portion of fries. Then we had to try the banana cookie butter pie and the seasonal cheesecake with pumpkin sauce and a french press of decaf and heavy cream. The banana pie had brûlée bananas around it and the plate had a butterscotch caramel drizzle. Decadent!

The Guilded Unicorn is embedded in a gorgeous basement that was probably set around the late 1880s. Stone and brick with tall ceilings make a great atmosphere.
If you want an intimate setting or have somewhat private discussions, eat elsewhere. You are seated next to others that are quite close.
Service was slow. So slow the hostess ended up bringing us our water--and it wasn't iced.
We ordered and our food arrived in a timely fashion afterward.
The Food: my tater tots were good, but I ordered French fries. The Wygu burger came on a nicely toasted bun with some great trimmings, including crispy bacon. The problem? All I could taste was salt. It seems like the salt shaker broke open when they were prepping the burger. And I like salt. This was unbearable. I didn't have time to send it back so I ate what I could and finished with my fries....I mean tots.
