I have been coming to The Yards for breakfast for five or six years and have always appreciated the space and the service. In the past, because of the wait times, I was encouraged to go across the street to Indaba Coffee. Today, after checking in, I did just that—grabbed an iced coffee at Indaba while waiting for the typical 25–50 minutes on a busy day. When I returned, I was surprised to be told that outside beverages are not allowed inside or outside the building. Normally, I completely understand this policy. However, since Indaba is directly across the street and offers specialty drinks that pair naturally with the waiting experience, it felt a little unexpected. I’m not sure if I will be back.
Saw the espresso machine and wandered in for an iced coffee! Quick and friendly service, great drink on a hot day. Will stop in for a full meal next time I'm in town. :)

One of the best burgers in Spokane! Everything else we have had has also been great. We love their crispy tater tots!

Friendly spot on Kendall Yards! I had the eggs Benedict which was decent. My friend said the chicken and waffles were awesome! Loved the diner vibe and the service was prompt and friendly!

My husband and I visited this breakfast restaurant and waited over 20 minutes before anyone even greeted us. When a server finally approached, we were told we had to throw away our iced coffees due to a supposed Washington State Health Code violation prohibiting outside beverages. The server left so abruptly that we didn’t even have the chance to explain that this is not actually true.
We waited another 15 minutes without being helped, so we finally approached a server and the manager ourselves. The server then told us that the manager had instructed staff not to serve us until we disposed of our drinks. This kind of treatment is both unacceptable and disappointing.
We calmly informed them that there is no such state law prohibiting outside non-alcoholic beverages, but the manager responded by raising their voice and insisting it was. This experience was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional.

Seriously poor customer service, waited for a table with a half empty restaurant, 2 waiters and only one had a clue but still didn’t really care about clientele, won’t come back and let everyone know to not bother SAD

The food was high quality and prepared well, choices are somewhat limited. The atmosphere is a little noisy for good conversation. Service was decent, but not stellar. I would still come back here anytime.

Try the Strawberry Rhubarb donuts. They are excellent!! This is a great place for breakfast/brunch. The Yard and Green Goddess Eggs Benedict were very good.

Restaurantji Recommends
Walked in, greeted & Sat at a cute lil clean table for 2. Menus were easy to read & thickly laminated. Waiter Gavin took a little longer to get to us which they were kinda busy, but he was lovely. Knew the menu well. We placed our orders (wife was kinda upset they were out of shrimp of the shrimp 🍤 and grits). Kitchen was prompt and fairly quick to get items out. We enjoyed our experience and will be back...

I keep coming back for the green goddess Benedict because it’s delicious and the home fries are so so good. The service is heinous tho. They are polite but they aren’t attentive and you can expect to wait twenty minutes between all your interactions with them. Food is worth it.

Great Sunday brunch. The Club sandwich 2.0 was more like 3.0. Really tasty.
Sour tomatoes in our salad and bland soup. Brought up both of these issues with no resolution
