Nice bathrooms
Food was so tasty, beautiful atmosphere!
Service is smooth, with servers who genuinely enjoy their work
Terrific food, drinks, service and vibe!
Soooooooo good! So so so so good! The food is delicious, the drinks are delicious and smooth. Best sazarac I’ve ever had. I’m already trying to get some friends together to go again!
Had the gumbo and pork with grits. Food was amazing. Flavor was outstanding.
We went to Vieux Carre during restaurant week, giving it another try after a disappointing prior visit. Unfortunately we were again dissatisfied. The cornbread was excessively sauced as to be wet and mushy. The rabbit hand pie was very dry, with stringy meat and a handful of frozen vegetables tossed in. The beignet was as flat and doughy. Altogether another tasteless meal. We don’t recommend it and we won’t be back. John and Dayle Yates
The best Louisiana kitchen I’ve been to outside of the state of Louisiana. Traditional meals with the chefs in style modifications. I regularly recommend this restaurant to friends and family.

My boyfriend and I got an early dinner here. We got a few draft beers, the fall harvest salad, and the short ribs to share. This was a perfect portion for two people to split. We thought the salad was fresh and flavorful. We thought the spare ribs were tender and savory. The farro ricotta is a nice twist, and it had a lot of flavor. Overall the ambiance is really great here and we will be coming back.

Very beautiful atmosphere…We had high hopes for this place but for us, spending over $100 on okay food wasn’t really worth it. The crab appetizer was the best dish for us but the other two just didn’t have as much flavor or spice. We went around 3pm, there were only 4 other families there but our server just forgot about us. It took forever to order, (even our drinks), he said he would refill our water but never did…I ended up having to tell someone else that we were ready for our check. We don’t plan on going back.

Really impressed with the atmosphere, the menu seemed delicious and we couldn’t wait to try our food. Overall for a fine dining place I’d say it passes the test, but it’s a step below from the typical Cajun cuisine in the sense that the spice is nonexistent in the dishes. Along with the fact that the risotto is not exactly risotto, if you’re looking for well cooked food? It’s a good spot to try, but to say it’s a representation of the Creole food a foodie learns to love? Is like saying Taco Bell is authentic Mexican cuisine. Service wasn’t exactly the best for fine dining either. I tend to leave mostly positive food reviews, but one must know if they’re looking for a kick in their food? This place ain’t it. Otherwise it’s a nice restaurant for fine dining. Take care. Going out to try food is all apart of the experience. Just my two cents. Merry Christmas!

Delicious flavors prepared well, plus yummy drinks… highlights have been the boudin balls, hushpuppies, gumbo z’herbes, fried catfish with cheesy grits, and short ribs. It’s quite popular so I’d advise making a reservation, although sitting in the bar is fun too!
Everything was delicious!
We had the Boudin Balls for an appetizer and then the jambalaya, and the bacon wrapped shrimp and grits for dinner.
For dessert we had the bananas foster and the stuffed beignets. We preferred the bananas foster, but both were good.
The drinks were delicious as well.
I recommend making reservations. It's a very popular restaurant.
