My bestie and I kicked off restaurant week at Wiley’s!! I had the jalapeño cheddar chicken soup, prawn linguini, and the mini margarita pie. She had the roasted beet salad, southwest chicken, and Wiley’s crème brûlée. Everything was sooooo delicious and the ambiance of this place is so cute too! Definitely would 10/10 recommend! 😋

Wiley's Downtown Bistro: hearts wide open. 🖤
They moved around the corner to Main! We were there on New Year's Eve. I was absolutely startled by a loud BANG and then pleasantly surprised by the fireworks right at 9pm. If not for that surprise, I might have missed the great new view of the Pavilion at Riverfront Park! The old Wiley's location had a view of a parking lot. The food was pretty good!

The Beef Wellington initially came across a bit salty until you chewed the pastry and the filling and the beef enough to let it combine. The beef was listed as American Wagyu Sirloin, but this piece was a little tougher than one would expect of that cut/price, so trust me... you have to chew it! I'm not sure what the filling was, honestly. This was plated well, except the layer of melted cheese on the mashed potatoes. That added some trashy to an otherwise classy plate. Once that was peeled off and pushed aside, the potatoes were devoured! Overall, it was a decent dish.

The Crab-topped Salmon was perfection! Perfectly played atop a risotto cake, seasoned and cooked and sauced at a pro-level. Champagne aioli for the win!

The Crab Puff starter could cause a riff at the table, so order more than one to prevent a brawl! Absolutely divine!

Go to Wiley's for great food and an unexpectedly great view!

Great bistro for dinner before you walk a couple of blocks to any downtown show. Reservations highly recommended, although the bar often has open seating even through peak hours. Food is amazing, as is the drink menu. Service generally solid. The vibe needs some work... can be awkwardly quiet with no ambient music, and the space feels somewhat unrealized in it's potential. Very basic chair/table layout, some art on the brick walls, disproportionate and hot-spotty light fixtures. With just a little tweaking from a designer, this space could transform into a true destination of elegance.

All that said, absolutely worth a stop, the food never disappoints, and would always take amazing food over vibe. Consider stopping into Wanderlust Delicato next door for wine and cheese tasting before a main event meal at Wiley's. Huge paid parking lot available directly across the street. Try the baked brie and beef Wellington, or the fish special of the day... Exquisite culinary execution.

Parking: Paid parking lot on street or in large lot across the street.

THE BEST dining experience I’ve ever had. I was never a food connoisseur, but NOW I am. This place livened up my taste buds and now I see why people dine at elegant restaurants. WOW! AMAZING SERVICE, BEAUTIFUL FOOD, VERY knowledgeable and friendly staff. ALSO 90% of the menu is GLUTEN FREE and they change up the menu every 4-5 months continually exciting you for the upcoming dishes! The entire experience makes me finally see why people do fine dining. I’ve never been utterly impressed with food until now. The best date night ever!!! Thank you for this dining experience!

Full disclosure, we didn't get food. We ended up leaving because the smell of wet drywall/mold was too much. The atmosphere besides that wasn't up to the prices they were charging, with small local art that didn't fill the space and old un-lit lighting they didn't bother to take down.
