The foods are delicious. The service is good. The atmosphere is wonderful. I appreciate the decoration style, very Mexican Characteristics.The main dish consists of a mixture of corn, beans, and chili, the soul ingredients of Mexico. The combination of various crusts + cheese + dipping sauces + different meats is a perfect dish! Such as Burrito, Tacos, Quesadillas, Salads, Burrito bowl.Highly recommended IXTAPA!

This little family owned and operated business has always been so good.Our early dinner was ok, but it just didn't seem to be as good as it used to be. Their margaritas are still the best!It seems like to save money, sour cream & guacamole are extra for most items that used to come with it.I get everything has gone up, and maybe a different approach to battling the overhead would be better?

Do not eat this stuff...The food is surprisingly awful, utterly bland and no semblance of being fresh.Even the salsa is watery and without interest. We ordered two meals and simply could not eat this prefab frozen excuse for food.The service was about as disinterested and cold as I've ever seen. An absolute waste of your money if you stop here.

Wasn't thrilled. Had the Arroz con pollo, and I swear the sauce was canned enchilada sauce. It was awful. I was really disappointed. Needless to say we won't be going back.

Worst place ever! 50 bucks for 2 plates an left rappers on my food! Smh cooks where mad bc they don't know how to cook correctly an told them! they sat there an tried to intimate me while i paid smh 100% frozen food cooked to be warm cook got so mad he wanted to fight ?so unprofessional..also you can tell the difference between pork an chicken ???♀️ when I confronted about the rapper being in my food she asked if i was okay like if this has happened before..
The Sultan Ixtapa was not what you would expect from Ixtapa. We ordered the Chicken Enchiladas and Chicken Chimichangas. Both of the dishes had burnt chicken and were dry on the inside. We were also served dry rice. The only thing saving the meal was the price and quantity of food - not the quality. We will not come back here again in the future. However, if you are in the area go to Maggy’s Mexican Restaurant in Gold Bar. You will not be disappointed!

I love Mexican food, almost every weekend we (me and my wife) go to a Mexican restaurant after a hike. This time we ended up trying this restaurant and it ended up being a terrible experience. Chips and salsa were stale to begin with, they are smelling terrible and hence we opted not to eat much. The meal was full of oil (kind of oily that I am not used to seeing with burritos without cheese sauce on top). One can still forego the food part as the opinion can vary from person to person and hence I didn't question the staff. But on top of it, the lady who served us was highly rude to us. Sorry to say but service was horrible from the lady who served us. The only time we could see the waiter interested in us was towards the bill payment in the expectation to be tipped better after our horrible experience.

First walking up, it looks like a normal TexMex restaurant. But after my first bite, I knew this was a different place. The flavor and texture was amazing. I had an enchilada while my wife had the chalupa. (Secretly, I should have gotten it as well.) With a total of under $30 the service and the style of the restaurant was more than enough for me to want to come back over and over again. A definite must-try!
