This place has so much potential and WAS amazing when they first opened. But now they lost their mojo. The servers could care less about their job. We’ve been here 4 times and each time it’s such a disappointment. I’ve tried making excuses. They are under staffed, poor management, etc. But I can not keep paying over $100 for 2 and have crap service and mediocre food. I will not be back and I will no longer recommend anyone here. Our server today could care less about us. With how much need there is for restaurants, you’d think oxbow would hire people who want to work and care about customer service. Maybe our server had a bad day, but there was no remorse or care in her. One it took 20 minutes to get a cocktail and a beer. We were the 4th table outside and it was not busy inside. I understand that’s the bartender not the server. But she never touched our table or apologized for the wait OR came back to ask about apps or anything. Just ignored us. Then when we did get our drinks we ordered salads and our entrees. Which they were out of one of the entrees. It happens, they can’t foresee the amount they need. But this happens to me EVERYTIME! Also, when you greet a table, maybe mention what you are out of? Idk, just a thought. We received our entrees. No salad. When asked if we needed anything, I brought that up and she’s like, oh yeah about that. Sorry, I think I may have rang that up somewhere else. I can put it in for you if you want it, on the house. I declined, I don’t want free, I want quality service and a meal. It’s why I’m out! Then I proceed to eat my meal and I have raw whole cloves of garlic in my sandwich. The lack of attention to easy things is insane. Don’t waste your time here. Our server tried making it up by buying our second round of drinks but like I said, I don’t want free. I’m appreciative of the gesture but she needs to just not come to work if she can’t pretend to care about her job. It was obvious she doesn’t. Oh, and when we left, she’s out back smoking talking crap. So way to go oxbow! Maybe revamp your staff or have a more of a management presence.
The restaurant itself is really nice — great vibe and awesome service. The staff was super friendly, and the cocktails were really good. We also had the Brussels sprouts appetizer, and it was delicious.
Unfortunately, the main dishes didn’t hit the mark. The chicken was pretty bland, and the crab on the Admiral’s Salad was overcooked, kind of rubbery, and way too salty. It just wasn’t what we were hoping for.
That said, maybe we just ordered the wrong things. With how good the drinks, service, and apps were, I’d be open to giving it another try and trying something else on the menu.
Love the outdoor seating and the burger. Fish and chips were good as well.
Overall, good value and experience.
My wife and I enjoyed our visit very much. We've been a handful of times, and each time is an excellent visit. The servers are well versed in the menu and are willing to make suggestions. We arrived for happy hour this last visit and were not disappointed. Excellent prices, a well thought out menu with variety, and the food is always tasty.
Definitely good service and the atmosphere is great. Food was actually pretty average for the price. Good view of the river and again, the service was very good.
If you’re looking for a place that oozes pretentiousness but forgets to bring flavor, welcome to Oxbow Urban Kitchen—where the vibe screams “luxury,” but the experience whispers Applebee’s in a fancy shirt.
The food? Sub-par at best. Think overpriced steak with the energy of a microwave dinner in a $40 outfit. The drinks are so watered down, I started checking the glass for a goldfish. And the executive chef? He struts through the dining room like he’s clenching a diamond between his cheeks—like bro, relax, no one’s asking for your autograph.
Sit on the patio if you want to share your $60 filet with a swarm of bees. Nothing says upscale like swatting insects between sips of cucumber air-water.
Honestly, this is the kind of place you take a date if you’re trying to distract from a personality—or a very small situation downstairs. All style, no substance, and a heavy side of “try-hard.”
Save your money. Grill at home. Hug your dignity.
We had a couple of beers and their birria nachos….YUMMMMM!! We will definitely be back. Great service and awesome location too 😁
I previously had stopped for a quick appetizer with a friend and was very impressed. I thought it would be a great place to take my family. on 3/15 we had the worst meals ever. the asian chicken salad was fried chicken on a bowl of Kim chi. when I complained I was told sorry. the Neptune salad was drenched in vinegar. All in all this was the worst meal I have ever had. I'll never come back to this restaurant. What a waist of $250
Turned away. Disappointed first visit.
Amazing menu, always wonderful flavor combinations. Fine dining palette choices without going to the city. Great bar selections… classic drinks Along with their custom specials. Great customer service, friendly staff!

My husband and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary here for brunch and it was one of the best restaurants we have tried in a very long time. The steak and salmon where fantastic! The drinks where amazing and our waiter Abby was fantastic as well. Over all I'd give this place mor than 5 stars if it let me!

We went here for our anniversary and enjoyed it. The food was good, but not too pretentious. Quality ingredients and quality food. Prices were decent. It was a nice place to go and have a grownup outing.

The food was delicious, and the service was friendly.
We had dinner on the patio and overall had a mixed experience. The food was not good for the price. For apps, the bread was great but the flavored butter with it was not. The buffalo cauliflower had almost no buffalo flavor at all. For entrees, The burger was decent, over-charred in spots but still good, however the salmon was not very good. As for the drinks, we had two cocktails, one was good and one (the old fashioned) was not up to standard. Also, the patio heaters only have one setting which is a mild inconvenience. Service was good.
