We recently hosted a private Soirée for 20 of our closest friends at Oxbow Urban Kitchen, and it was truly spectacular from start to finish. From the very beginning, Marylee was incredible to work with and made the planning process feel effortless. She thoughtfully curated the atmosphere, seating, music, and beverage pairings, all of which came together beautifully and set the tone for an unforgettable evening.
Chef Alex and his culinary team created an unforgettable multi-course menu, all prepared from scratch, starting with Cava and Caviar, followed by Lobster Bisque, Smoked Tenderloin Toast, Lamb Ragu Croquette, and ending with a Trio of Truffles for dessert. Every course was intentional, beautifully presented, and perfectly paired.
The evening was flawlessly supported by Kaydence, whose attentive and seamless service ensured everything ran smoothly and allowed us to fully enjoy the experience with our guests. The upstairs space was fantastic for a private event. It felt intimate yet open, had a great layout for mingling and dining, and offered a special elevated feel that made the night even more memorable.
Oxbow Urban Kitchen went above and beyond for us and our friends, and we cannot recommend them enough for hosting private events. If you are looking for exceptional food, thoughtful planning, and a team that truly cares about creating an incredible experience, this is the place to do it.

Oxbow is such a lovely place to visit for happy hour or an exceptional meal. There’s really no restaurant in Sumner that compares. The staff are always pleasant, friendly, and helpful. The food choices are excellent! It’s a lovely spot along the river too with indoor and outdoor seating, and beautiful decorated inside with a focus on nature.
We visited for happy hour, again, specifically for the burger and fries most people mention. The burger was so incredibly juicy, flavorful, and cooked exactly how we requested. This Angus beef burger comes with crispy lettuce, ripe tomatoes, onion, and cheese with lovely pickles on the side. Be prepared to unhinge your jaw for this incredible burger! The fries….wow! I’ve never had better fries, ever. Lightly battered, perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, and so very tender on the inside. I never finish my fries, but I sure did this time! Now I crave this burger and fries over anywhere I’ve been. Delicious!

Oxbow Urban Kitchen is absolutely amazing. I had one of the best burgers I’ve ever tasted, followed by a delicious caramel sundae for dessert. The service was outstanding—our server, Abby F., was phenomenal and even made me a delicious pumpkin spritzer. The entire staff was attentive, friendly, and welcoming, which really added to the experience. Overall, the vibe was great, and I honestly don’t understand the low reviews—this place exceeded my expectations. I’ll definitely be returning soon!

We had our office Christmas party at Oxbow for the 3rd year and as always, it was amazing! This year was the smoothest planning of our party yet, thanks to Marylee and Chef Alex! Marylee was very prompt with answering all my questions while organizing our party and added wooden drink tokens that were a fun replacement for paper drink tickets! The appetizers, dinner, and dessert were delicious ! The drinks mixed by Erin were perfection! Thank you to Anna, Marylee and Erin for taking care of our needs at the party! We rented the top floor and it was so cute and festive for Christmas!! Looking forward to next year!

Went to dinner there last night for the first time.Had their brick chicken, and it literally had no seasoning. It kind of tasted like chicken skin and that was it. The service was just OK at best. The atmosphere was really loud. I know they can’t help that, but it made it hard to even have a conversation with my friends. I probably not choose to go back again.

My company hosted our Annual Holiday Party upstairs on 12/6. The event coordinator Marylee was absolutely amazing and so easy to work with, I was able to arrive early and set up something. Her communication was top of the line and any questions or concerns I had, were addressed. Our bartender Erin was fantastic. The wait for drinks with about 35 people was nothing to complain about and she was friendly. We are kind of a rowdy bunch but that didn't stop her from moving the line along. I would absolutely recommend this space for any kind of party. The food was also amazing; everyone loved all of it however I got multiple comments on the Smoked Wagyu Crostini. Thank you, guys, so much again! & we hope to see you next year.
