Good food, great prices, the owner is a little short on the phone sometimes but if you ask him how his day is going in person it's nothing but smiles. Never had a bad experience here, I've always gotten exactly what I ordered. I'm not sure how they can even stay open because the price has been the same for a decade. An order of gyoza is still $5 and it's better quality than any other teriyaki place in a 20 mile radius.

Best teriyaki. Scrumptious food overall. Staff works on their feet and in a very warm environment all day. I greatly appreciate their hard work. The food is delicious. I've been here more than ten times and will continue coming back.

Just moved to Sumner and went here for the first time. Hands down the BEST teriyaki plate I’ve ever had. My man got the Katsu chicken. And wow. Both plates were absolutely amazing and full of flavor. I HIGHLY recommend the teriyaki chicken. I want to go back and try all of their options. And the owner is really nice ! If you get a chance stop by and grab a plate ! You won’t regret it at all !

We absolutely love the teriyaki here. We eat here so much I literally call up and say it's Heather and he knows my order and even cuts up the chicken super small for my kids. Great place for food for the entire family.

I recently took a good friend of mine and his daughter to Teriyaki House for the first time. They had been to a different teriyaki place over in the Fred Meyer lot and didn't like it. So I told them, hey, let me buy you lunch over at Teriyaki House. They loved it. Way better: better ingredients, better sauce, better service (the owner is so hard-working. He works every day with pain in his wrist. All those years in the kitchen take their toll on a body.) Highly recommend, especially for the price. Thank you Teriyaki House, for many years of good teriyaki! Much love, appreciation, and many blessings!

I own a business right down the street and I have been coming here for over 20 Years! The gentleman who owns the place is a very nice man! I have read comments on here that say he is rude, he is not he is just busy and runs this place by himself. There is also a cultural difference people don't seem to take into account! He has always provided us with good service and great food! What else could you ask for.

What I Do

The dude had absolutely no personality and didn’t get any rice with my to go order. Food was fine, but I definitely won’t be back!

Rude workers, horrible customer service and the portions were very small. Were practically told we cant have our kids there.

I have been going to this place ever since I can remember. I was a small child when I first started going here. My mother used to take me to Loyalty Park a couple blocks down because I used to love going there. We were also often in the area because we went to the Sumner Laundromat, right next door the restaurant. Growing up I loved teriyaki, and when my mom could not cook dinner because she had a long day at work, Teriyaki House was the go to place! I always wanted one thing, chicken teriyaki, you can never go wrong. I loved it here, my mom did as well. She swore that their chicken teriyaki tasted different, better, and she is right. I came back years later, we stopped going to Sumner a lot, and we kind of just forgot to stop by. I come back though, now driving and with a part time job, because I remember this place after passing by the park. Order chicken katsu, pork fried rice, and of course, a chicken teriyaki. The same man I remember still runs the place, I called and placed my order, you have to realize more often than not, when I come in, he seems to be running the place on his own, so he has to be quick and abrupt over the phone, every minute is priceless when you're doing everything! I come to pick up my order, everything is in there, nothing forgotten. I come home, this time I am buying food for my mom and sister. Wouldn't you know it, it taste exactly the same as it did all those years ago. I'll always come here, and I'll always be here. I realize this is a long winded review, but this place really has sentimental value to me. Keep on rocking Teriyaki House, keep on rocking.

My family and I have eaten here about 3 times. The gentleman who runs it doesn't have the best phone etiquette. ( I think it's because he and one other person run the place) He is very nice in person. His food is the best teriyaki I've had in a long time. Aces Everytime we come here. I highly recommend this place.

This place is the best teriyaki place I have ever been to. Been going here since I was a young child, and I'm 20 now. The food always taste great. The teriyaki sauce is the perfect blend of savory and smooth. The Chicken Katsu has a very even and soft breading. Pork fried rice and yakisoba is very good. Never had any issue of the owner being rude or mean like some reviews say, he's always been very helpful when I go to pick up my order. Will always come here. Highly recommend.
