The owner is a pleasure to work with on orders and they have some of the best pie I've ever had!
A nice tucked away café with the BEST biscuits I've ever had. The service is good and the owner is a chill guy. I highly recommend coming here for lunch, breakfast or a tasty desert.

Dietary restrictions: I ordered a full bistro beef sandwhich on gluten free bread. The sandwhich is amazing super fresh ingredients and amazing flavor ! Also love that they didn’t charge me for gluten free bread. Will be ordering more soon or taking my husband for a little lunch date!

Cute but slightly hard to find place with lackadaisical service. This is offset by their willingness to let my wife bring some of her own food on account of some severe dietary restrictions she has to deal with. I went to the SC as part of an effort to find the best (in my opinion) biscuits and gravy in the area, and this place is a contender for my top 2. The 2 times I've gone up until now, I had a bowl of their rhubarb crisp for a pre-breakfast/brunch appetizer; it's really good. Their biscuits are flat and dense but delicious, and their gravy is very good too. They confirmed that they don't use oil in their biscuits, but they do use cow's milk cream. (I've stopped eating the biscuits at Hops N Drops due to the fact they have soybean oil in them.) Next time (and there will be a next time) I go to the SC, I need to remember to take green Tabasco sauce with me; they only have red Tabasco and equivalents (e.g., Tapatío). They add some kind of herb to the top of their fried eggs; I really like that they don't just serve them up plain. They'd lose a star for their service, but because I was able to have my wife with me there so we could eat with some friends, they get the star back.

Probably the best cafe food in downtown Sumner that you can study at. Also the bakery has nice baguettes when in

After being sat and getting water/coffee, we waited 20 minutes before our server came by to get our order. The 2 families that were seated after us had their orders taken first. We actually had to ask if she could take our order. Because of that, we waited another 40 minutes for our food. Not once during that 40 minutes was our coffee refilled.
The food was decent, but we will not be returning if we have to wait an hour and never checked on.
Long time Sumner resident.10.13 lunch visit. To go order. Order came out wrong. After discovering, I returned to have them correct it. Began explaining to a gal at the register and in the middle, the owner Daniel approach and interrupted and really wanted me to understand what his ticket said. Then kept asking what the problem was and would not listen to me.Was insitent that he was trying to understand but kept cutting me off and explaining what they did on the order. I asked for my money back and they obliged. But they were not interested in my perspective or experience and how they could make it right. Another helper chimed in and cut me off and asked me to leave. I wont even discuss the issues with the order unless Daniel responds to this and it is warranted. Doesn’t matter if I ordered it wrong or was even not understanding something. He was not trying to understand me, he was intent on showing that he/they did what the ticket said. Ok, good luck buddy, I don’t care about your ticket. I know what I want and you didn’t try to listen. Customer service 101.I do not recommend this place.

Such a cozy place to stop in for some Delicious pastries and or coffee. The service was warm and helpful to all of the common questions I'm sure they always have to answer about Mt. RAINIER.. ,But you couldn't tell of any fatigue. Perfect place to get warmed up and chat with strangers and locals. Nice variety of things. Definitely worth the stop.

Came in today for the first time, wanted to try a new place. The waitress was very nice but the food was nothing special. Kind of reminds me what my mom would make for me when I came home from school basic sandwich a bag of chips and a can of Coca-Cola. Together we had two sandwiches, chips, a bowl of chili and two drinks and it came to almost 40 bucks. The food wasn't bad it just was nothing fancy at all I don't know I guess I just expect a restaurant to try harder than something that I could have made at home for 5 bucks or less

Great breakfast and customer service!
The Golden breakfast burrito was pouring out with oil or grease. It was under cooked. And the BLTA the bread was not toasted. The potato salad tasted like old potatoes. Will not be back. Not feeling well after this lunch.
