Came back to Bainbridge to celebrate our 26th anniversary. Agate was the perfect place to do so. Atmosphere was warm and relaxing. Staff was engaged and helpful with food and drink choices. Food was wonderful and desert finished it nicely.

I had a wonderful late-night dessert experience at Agate Restaurant, thanks to the exceptional service provided by Yolanda. Despite our late arrival, she was incredibly patient and kind throughout our visit. She recommended the most delightful choices - the pudino and cheesecake - which turned out to be among the best desserts I’ve ever had.

Came here to meet a friend after a long time and this place was awesome to relax and enjoy amazing food. Service was awesome, they took care of us recommending food and drinks for the uncertain and answering questions about the food.

Fabulous food and beverage. Service was very nice but maybe overly eager? Met friends there and couldn’t really have a conversation without multiple awkwardly timed interruptions.

We came here to celebrate my birthday, and for how expensive our dinner was, I expected a better meal. The Manhattan steak was extremely tough, cold, and lacked flavor and the sausage special was SO salty. The service was slow, the restaurant was loud and we didn’t enjoy our time.

My dining experience at the Agate Restaurant in Bainbridge Island WA was truly remarkable, the best ever! The ambiance was great. The waitress was always smiling. The food was delicious. I love the crab cakes. It was so flavorful. The fried chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside. I enjoyed the fresh, tasty salmon to the last bite. The chocolate dessert was delectable. I give it 5 out of 5 stars. I would recommend this restaurant to the renowned chef Paul Mancebo. It is worth visiting!

This spot is great for a date. We ordered salmon and steak. They were both delicious. Starters and dessert were also superb!

We had scallops and Pork New York, but were hard-pressed to choose an appropriate wine pairing. Our server, Yolanda Ferrer blew us away with great advice and service demonstrating a broad and global understanding of food and wine. We tasted about three wines based on her suggestions and settled on a pinot noir. It proved to be a durable pairing. During the process, we learned a few things about wine including a great book on wine (Windows on the World: Complete Wine Course) which she shared with us (already ordered the latest edition). It was well worn and reflected the intense use of a recycled college text book. However, our excellent server offered much more than book smarts. Then came the food and we were delighted. We finished with a dessert--chocolate bouchon?...name doesn't really matter--it was recommended and was delicious. We learned that the chef trained under Thomas Keller (yeah, THAT famous restaurant) and the food reflected the influence. We'll be back for sure.

Had a memorable family celebration dinner yesterday evening. The food was wonderful, staff was friendly and helpful -- full Northwest personal touch. I love the informal elegance and style.

Not the most romantic location, very tight seating. Expensive prices but that goes with location. No views but decent food.
