We’d heard rave reviews about Fernando’s breakfast and were told they closed at noon on Sundays. So we made the drive to Tieton and arrived at 11:17, excited to try it out. The restaurant was bustling, but a few tables were still open—everything pointed to a great experience ahead.
Instead, Fernando stepped out from the kitchen and, without hesitation, said, “We’re closed. Don’t you see the sign?” It was jarring. As the only non-Hispanic patrons in the room, I’d hate to believe we were being profiled—but it was hard not to feel that way in the moment. If only he knew how deeply I support all workers, regardless of race or background.
I left feeling disappointed and disheartened. I stand firmly against any form of discrimination, and I won’t support businesses that make others feel unwelcome.

Great traditional style Mexican food! Limited hours, but a fabulous stop!
Very bad service, they left us without eating, do not take orders if you are not sure that they are going to bring the food, or let them know that they will not be able to go, it is understandable but leaving you without eating is a lack of respect for the customer, be careful there
