Stopped in for lunch finally after wanting to for a few years and greatly regret it. The food was ok, the atmosphere nice, but the prices are insane. So many extra fees and taxes tacked onto already very high menu prices. And I’m from King County. I feel taken advantage of. I work hard for my money and tend to tip well on my own free will but this place has a mandatory 20% gratuity, which they also charge additional tax on. Plus another tax. Exceptional food and staff. We ate dinner at The Wandering Goose for the first time and wow, amazing portions, food quality, service, and a Gus, the humongous dog that greets guests. I had the wedge salad with a very flavorful buttermilk dressing and pieces of delicious candied bacon. My husband enjoyed a cup of razor clam chowder and fried chicken. Bring your appetite! Absolutely the best restaurant I have ever been to — and I’ve been around and I’m 72! Gorgeous exterior. Fascinating warm comfy friendly interior. Incomparable service and service people. Awesome views of Willapa Bay. Slow dining, savoring the reading of the menu, waiting for it to arrive and then a big smile and diving in!
