The wife and I thought this would be an interesting place to see and have breakfast while in Tokeland.
First the parking is limited. The outside appearance is historic and charming. We had made reservations and got seated at a small and long table for two. This made conversation challenging. The breakfast went down hill from there. Our waitress came buy and took our drink order. Coffee and creamer for me, a tea for my wife.
Then she came back for our food order. French toast for my wife and biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs for me. A pretty basic order, we thought. Also know that this restaurant has a big golden lab and two or three cats wondering around in the restaurant. Not once did a waitress come by to fill my coffee. When our order did arrive. The wife got her French toast and no syrup.
I was given a plate with scrambled eggs and toast with a container of jam. I figured that the biscuits and gravy would follow. Nope.
The wife did finally get a tiny container of syrup. My coffee creamer was in a bigger container.
LOL. We ate what we could, paid the bill and promptly left. We both work in transportation. Were you get ONE chance to take a customers pickup or delivery needs and get it right. We would never go back our recommended this hotel / restaurant to anyone.

Got the fried pork chop and cream brulee. The pork chop was fantastic super tasty and most importantly not dry and the seasoning was unique and good.

The cream brulee was also fantastic. Very good vanilla flavor smooth light custard and light caramelization on the top.

Only offputting thing was a few flys around otherwise good customer service and nice staff.

Thoroughly enjoyed our family dinner. Love the farm animals wandering around! Gazpacho was incredible and I ate the most perfectly seasoned and tender ribeye, it was so good! Also recommend the fried green tomatoes and homemade ranch. Fantastic service. Ambiance is rustic, warm, and comfortable. Would go back.

A charming historic inn, but the food fancy and is WAY overpriced, the taste isn't worth the extra money your paying. They do have a lovely and changing dessert counter.

We have been here a few times. The place is super quaint. Feels like you go back in time. The service was excellent. Our waitress was super nervous crazy and efficient. The food is the star of the show. The fired chicken, the pork chop and the fried green tomatoes were delicious. BUT, there was one problem. There was a group of people that were very loud and obnoxious. People were asking to be moved and we could hear others complaining. We got our dessert to go because we could not take the noise any more. The staff nor management did not do anything about it. We will still go here but please think of everyone’s dining experience.

Outstanding in every way. It is rare for a restaurant to combine the elements of: exceptional food quality and originality, warm hospitality, and a stylishly eclectic but laid back environment. We loved the sense of happiness we felt at the Wandering Goose, both from the staff and the other diners enjoying the food and each others company. We were staying at the hotel and ate several meals here.

We enjoyed an outstanding dinner tonight at The Wandering Goose. Service was wonderful and the food was the delectable. This was one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time. We enjoyed the fried green tomatoes, chicken fried pork chop with mashed potatoes and delicious gravy, rockfish with grits and we took home a brownie that didn't disappoint. The ambiance is lovely and while we didn't see Gus the Bus we met kitty Francesca the Bus.
I highly recommend dining here for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It's worth the splurge for this level of dining experience. Yes, 20% gratuity is automatically added to your bill--get over it and enjoy your fine dining experience in a casual setting.

I had a fried chicken plate with greens mashed potatoes and a biscuit with a lemonade. Very kind friendly staff and delicious food. The chicken was fried perfectly. the mashed potatoes had a wonderful consistency. The greens were slightly sweet, which i wasnt expecting, but they were still delicious and home made hot sauce was provided which would have offsetted the sweetness but honestly, i liked them the way they were. the biscuit (with raspberry jam) was so girthy that i almost didnt get dessert, but their pastries looked so good that i just had to try one. I ended up getting the peach coffee cake which was phenomenal. They do allow pets, they even have their own cat, so if you have allergies id recommend medicating before hand. The atmosphere is quite charming, as its connected to a hotel, but i wasnt staying the night, I traveled 3 hours just for the food and i must say, it was worth it for me. There is a 20% gratuity charge, so keep that in mind but dont let it deter you from enjoying the menu, you wont regret it.

We traveled here from Westport while vacationing to visit the Wandering Goose. OMFG.. the food is AMAZING! We ordered fried green tomatoes before our entrees. The tomatoes themselves were HUGE..nicely fried with the herb dipping sauce complimenting them well. My wife had the chicken fried porkchop meal with sides of mashed yukon gold potatoes and crunchy white coleslaw. The pork was favorable, very tender. The coleslaw was some of the best she's ever had. My fried chicken dish was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. Very moist chicken, large pieces as well. The collard greens had a nice flavor to them and whatever gravy that was used on the mashed yukon gold potatoes, I wish I could purchase it by the barrel! We both thought that the potatoes were OUTSTANDING! Also took home about 9 of their cookies plus a brownie, their bakery is just that delicious! I would DEFINITELY recommend this place for supper if you happen to be in the area!

Can't say enough about the overall experience from service to food to amibancr and hospitality. Wandering Goose located in the eclectic Tokelamd Hotel provided a delicious experience from fried chicken Wedge to an amazing Oyakodon complete with funky kimchi. The pastries are ridiculously sweet and savory. The service and hospitality which was initiated and completed by the hard-working and astute Presley was exceptional and welcomed in such a small town! Get to Tokeland and the Wandering Goose. Don't miss the freezer jam and the ambiance

Totally a 5-star restaurant! The Egg’s Benedict were DELICIOUS! Do not hesitate on order those! My husband ordered the Summer Scrambled and also exquisite! Each plate is unique and everything is made here in-house! Coffee on point! The sourdough bread is homemade and truly delicious! The atmosphere is so relaxing and cozy! The service was amazing … a must stop if your are in the west coast, plus is in the oldest hotel in Washington! Do yourself a favor and pay a visit to this beautiful and exquisite place!
