Its a dive ba atmosphere but the food was fantastic. I had the French dip which was made from the prime rib they serve, it was excellent and I highly recommend. My son had the kids burger and fries which he loved.

We have ordered pizza to go before which was pretty decent. Tonight we decided to bring the family and sit down for the first time. The place is nice and the interior is really homie but it was very loud and i had a hard time hearing my server, I couldnt really talk to my wife across the table without yelling. They were slammed when we arrived but we were able to get a table fairly quickly. I will say that our server did give us a warning that it would be about 45 minutes for our food as they were very backed up.
I appreciated the honesty and we decided to stay. After ordering our drinks and dinner the drinks came fairly quickly. The next time we had a server check on us was when the food came. They brought us our food and asked if we were okay or needed anything but didn't bring an appetizer we ordered. The waitress said she would check on it and get back to us. She came back quickly and said it was on the way all of the fryers were being used.
My burger was tasty but very over cooked and burnt on the edges. My son got a pizza which he enjoyed. I had a beer and the waitress asked what I was drinking. When I told her she took my beer even though the glass was not empty. I waited about 5 minutes for another drink. After that we didn't see anyone until we got our check and we never got our appetizer.
I get they were very busy and that's in part because they are 1/3 food options in town, but service was a little lacking. I will say our server was super nice and polite and even warned us in the beginning about wait times which i greatly appreciated. The 3 stars is simply because the food was meh and quite expensive for what you got. When we got our bill they charged us for the appetizer but the waitress removed it when I asked her to because we never got it.
To be fair I didn't complain about the burger because I am not that way, plus I ate it because I was super hungry. We will probably order pizza to go from here but I'm not sure about sitting in on a Friday night.

Stopped here on the way out of town and oh boy was that a great decision Donna and crew were all so friendly and we couldn't have asked for a better breakfast experience! Country fried steak was an easy 20/10 and the biscuits were to die for!

Donna's is tucked away on a side street in the little town of Toledo WA. It is a good place to stop on the way out of Mt St Helens. It has a nautical theme throughout, which is a bit confusing knowing there aren't boats on the water nearby. The food is good though, but a lot more expensive than I thought a small diner would be.

Since the new ownership Donna’s Place is terrible. Service is shit, we ordered our toddler a kids mini corn dog and fries meal and the corn dogs came out disgustingly overcooked and rock hard. I ordered the chicken fettuccine, which is supposed to come with a salad and garlic bread (never saw either of those) this is the worst experience we’ve had here yet, the service has always been a little slow but with what we dealt with tonight is complete BS. To the new ownership of Donna’s Place, your servers need a lot of help to do their job the correct way.

Stopped here for lunch on our drive from Washington to Oregon! The sandwiches with the home cut fries were soo tasty! The pies were excellent!! 👌 10/10 will come back if the opportunity is there
