We are just headed home from our stay at cameo heights celebrating our anniversary. We discovered this place several years ago and fell in love with it. While we enjoyed our stay, it has definitely changed with new management. If you have never stayed here you will likely enjoy yourself and find it beautiful. If you had stayed previously, you know every detail was accounted for and presentation was immaculate. I understand how it would be hard to keep up with this, but wanted to provide a review for guest who have stayed before so they understand the difference. The staff was a little unorganized and that was reflected throughout our time there. A few big things we noticed: they cut the orchard down which was disappointing, there were some stains on the carpet, scuffs on the wall, and areas with finish coming off, the wake-up service menu was missing from our room, and there was confusion around where we were eating breakfast. The overall vibe just lacked the attention to detail we were used to. We ordered a charcuterie board to have upon our arrival - I would not recommend this. The grapes and blueberries were soft and it had cut up string cheese and cheddar cheese on it. I think they really missed an opportunity to make this good. Not to mention the price was $79. There is a more commercialized feel to the establishment and you feel that throughout with increased prices and automated text messages, although this can be convenient when something is needed or was missed. The power went just after we were sat for dinner. The staff did an excellent job navigating this. The food and service was good. In the past the chef would deliver each course to the table and tell you about it, we missed this touch. We had no power for about 3 hours or so which was a bummer, but out of the staffs control. Overall this is a nice place to stay. If you go expecting the same experience as the previous owners, you will leave disappointed. The prices are quite a bit higher and the experience isn’t as good.

Absolutely the best place to stay when visiting wine country. They offer amazing 4hr limo wine tours, with over 100 wineries in the area their expertise in selection is very useful. And the 7 course dinner is always a highlight with an unbeatable view!

Just celebrated our 25th anniversary here in the beautiful German suite and will absolutely be back. From the champagne upon arrival to the delicious food everything was perfect; they don’t miss a single detail! So many areas to enjoy and relax, would recommend a stay to anyone!

The drunkard owner always has a rebuttal for any negative reviews given towards his establishment. Larry, just accept you are a severe alcoholic dying of cirrhosis of the liver and bitter at the world. You probably do not even remember half the stuff you garble away to un- satisfied guests. Why don't you actually listen to the guests concerns and complaints instead of being delusional and degrading them? It's already killing you with your keen life choices and you are slowly rotting away with resentment and hatred... so I'm sure you don't care, but with running a mediocre business, at least try to seem to care and give paying guests a decent experience. That's not too hard to ask for as well as other ethical things you should be doing. Be better and do better instead of being hateful and bitter. Not a good way to go out after destroying your body from the booze and high blood pressure from being a constant tool lol.

My husband and I were married there. Very rude owners! The chef turnover is ridiculous and I’m not surprised by it though. The bridal lady (Lawanda) made a ton of mistakes. Called me the morning of to tell me stuff (that was included in our wedding package that we purchased wasn’t able to happen) no reduced price. She hired her wedding officiant even though I told her that we are bringing our own. I can go on about the mistakes, but I will not. I found out she was too busy/focusing on her daughter getting married the next day, using the same arch that I purchased, probably free of charge. We had a group there for the course meal with wine pairings. Was told they couldn’t do the wine pairing the morning of our wedding while I was getting ready. So we had to purchase our own wine and open it our ourselves. Everyone at the table thought that the food was just OK. My husband, along with others, personally thought I would have done a much better job on the meal. The cake that the bridal lady made herself which was extremely bland and dry, especially for the amount of money that I paid for it. We threw it out. It was very sad. They messed up on charges of our credit cards. We didn’t even stay the second night because the owner (Alan) was completely rude! We heard a CONSTANT loud banging in our room on our wedding night from up above (kitchen) starting at probably 1 AM to 6 AM so we did not get any sleep. They did nothing about it nor even bother to care. It was very unfortunate as we would’ve loved to have gone back to celebrate anniversaries. My husband will only go back when they have new owners. The treatment that we received after spending a lot of money there was just absolutely ridiculous.

The rudest interaction we have ever had coming into a business … we came in to inquire about the restaurant and were met by a nice housekeeper but the lady at the front desk was rude and snarky and wouldn’t let us see the restaurant and she went and got someone to “give us a tour” but he came out and was super super rude and demeaning and rude and wouldn’t let us even see the restaurant without a reservation. The whole experience was rude and weird and bizarre and unwelcoming. I hope it is never like this for anyone else. We will never be going back… left there feeling horrible and demeanedIt’s not that great of a place to treat people like that…

The Mansion was pretty at Christmas, but we had a horrible experience. Found a shirt from someone else behind the pillow area (gross), huge holes in many areas of the sheets (they didn't offer to change the sheets and we felt gross all night in what felt like a dirty bed), standing water in bath tub (it hadn't been used for two days), my husband got cut on the TP roll sharp edge, the hot breakfast was cold, way over priced, the owners wife slammed the door behind my husband's back when we were leaving, and they wouldn't refund our money but would give us a complimentary stay (we basically paid for it anyway)! Why would we want to return? Not acceptable! Will never return and wouldn't recommend! New owners need to step it up for a place that like that. We've had a cleaner and better experience at cheaper hotel chains.

We stayed in the French suite on a weekday and it was what I was hoping for... A quiet getaway (from our noisy kids lol) in honor of my wife's birthday. I managed to keep it a surprise so it was extra fun to take her out there with no idea what to expect. One of the first things we noticed was a bingo card in our room with suggested activities which encouraged exploration and helped us find all the amenities and activities in/around the mansion. The room was great and well prepped. You can tell they put a lot of care into the small details. We felt totally comfortable during our stay and had a really fun time. The staff were all friendly and helpful!

The only issue I had was trying to open the motorized skylight... the large center one wouldn't open but the sides did (maybe a motor burned out or the controller wasn't synced properly) but unfortunately it was cloudy that night anyhow so no stars to be seen. The fact that it's the only problem I can think of shows that it was a really smooth and relaxing stay.

It is a bit in the middle of nowhere which depending on your view could be a pro or a con. Since we were looking for a getaway it was a pro and we didn't feel any need to go to a store since they pretty much have everything you'd want there. It's about a 30 min drive into either Walla Walla or Tri-cities if you plan to do stuff the following day.
