Stumbled upon this gem last month and have been counting down the days until I could get back.
Today was the day…..and tomorrow I will be back again! Stayed in Trout Lake last month and currently in White Salmon. This area is just incredible. I will live here one day. Post Office Coffee is such a unique experience. I cannot believe they had a vegan bakery item! Vegan Hazelnut Banana Bread…..WHAT?! Absolutely delicious! The coffee….outstanding! Service….beautiful people with friendly smiles and excellent customer service. I’ve been in the food and beverage industry as a bartender and manager for 20+ years just outside of Portland and I long to work somewhere like this. The aesthetic, the food and drinks, the service combined with an incredibly homey energy is something you’d find in a tv show or feel good movie. I feel ridiculous babbling on and on about it but I can’t get over this place. Is it almost morning so I can head back??
I want to give credit to Trout Lake Hall which shares space with Post Office Coffee. I missed the live music in the music hall on Saturday night due to sheer laziness but will be back to experience it soon! I know some of the kind employees who graciously answered questions and gave friendly smiles numerous times were part of Trout Lake Hall. Thank you all for making an outsider feel welcome.

I truly loved coming here the past couple of mornings. They make excellent baked goods from scratch, using local ingredients! The coffee was decent too😊. My favorite items was the sausage breakfast biscuit and the blueberry sourcream bars!

The best coffee, bakery goods available outside SE Portland! All created by a local who had a vision and has achieved it and more. Reward excellence by trying POC’s faire. Perhaps you will love Trout Lake and POC as I do. ( and I have a good deal of the rest of the world to compare it with. There is a bakery in St Andrew’s Scotland, near the old course, that comes close. Nothing in Paris though).

As a celiac person I really wish businesses would stop putting GF all over their menu when they can’t actually accommodate someone with an allergy.

The coffee was decent though.

Dietary restrictions: Despite having several gluten free options on the menu they are unable to safely prepare gluten free food for those with food allergies.

Literally our favorite bakery and coffee shop, and we’ve traveled a lot. Excellent coffee, inspired pastries, and all made from scratch. Lovely setting in an old building with picnic tables outside to enjoy in good weather and a view of Mount Adams just past the trees. We now plan our vacations around a stop (or two) here.

This was one of my favorite spots along the PCT last summer. I was lucky enough to be back in trout lake recently and stopped by again and was once again very impressed! Local and organic ingredients make the food and coffee something really special. Worth every penny. Great outdoor seating as well. Just be sure to bring cash, as they only accept cash and Venmo for payment. Thanks Post Office! Be back as soon as I can!

Truly a hidden gem in a small town. Coffee/espresso smooth and delicious. Syrups made in house. Breakfast and pastries are amazing, we had: peach and raspberry crumble, blueberry and raspberry coffee cake, breakfast pizza. Cute patio under trees. Very friendly staff.

Had breakfast at this funky little coffee shop & bakery. Had great sweet waffles with rhubarb cardamom compote, a fantastic bacon, garlic, cheese savory waffle, and a very good boysenberry danish. Also great lattes. A rustic wooden porch or sit at a picnic table under the huge evergreens. Obviously a community hub.

Paid 9 dollars for a “tart” and was handed some strange tasting thing with potatoes??? Very confused. Dirty chai was good. So was the molasses cookie.
