So glad we stopped here, the coffee was so good and the service was fast and friendly even with only one person. Good vibes.

We were up at the station cafe. We have been going there for 30 years. The problems started right away when my grand daughter sat at the counter. The owners wife, very curly told her we don't serve at the counter sit in the booth. I told her we just want coffee and a sprite. She torted back I don't care you don't sit up at the counter. That's not how we run our business. We were the only people there except a friend of the wife who was sitting at the counter talking. Then the husband came in he was friendly enough took our order of 3 coffees three soft drinks and order of fries and a piece of pie. Simple enough. No!! It took almost 30 minutes. My daughter went to the counter and the owner told her to park her ass at the table. I went to the counter she was getting the pie and there were flys crawling on it! I commented there are flies on it yeah that's why we keep it covered. This place is not cheap we got a refund . Beware of you go there of the pie and the rude disrespectful owners . Never again.

What a shame
Used to get a quality
Meal here. Now, having had breakfast and dinner with our families here. It's very clear they are only after profits. Shame.

Eh, it’s ok, no frills burger and milk shakes. Not bad. Workers were friendly enough. $55 for 2 ok burgers and 1 milkshake and pop.

$65 for a bacon cheeseburger & fries, patty melt & fries, kids' cheeseburger & fries, a 8 oz. mimosa and a small sprite. A little overpriced by any standard, then you consider the inadequate service, and half the food was not edible.
We arrived, went inside, there was one couple paying for their meal and leaving, on guy at a table with drinks. We waited around, after the couple paid and left, none of the staff had even addressed us (it's a 10'×15' room, enough for a couple of dining booths, they did see us). I said hello and asked if we could sit out back. The waitress says she'll bring us menus.
Outside, one couple that only had drinks, another table with just one entree and three beverages. Needless to say, they were not busy. After about 15 minutes, and still no menus or sign of the waitress, I go in and ask if they forgot about us, we're offered an excuse of them being busy. I return to our table, and the waitress is right behind to ask if we're ready to order. I said no, we don't even have menus yet. She brings us menus and comes back shortly to take our order. After getting all of our food order written down, she scurried away without asking before we could request beverages.
After about 10 minutes, I walked back inside and requested beverages at the counter. They arrived soon and a few moments before our food arrived. Patty melt was edible, we did order potato chips with that, but ended up with French fries instead. The kids' cheeseburger was fine. The bacon cheese burger had tomatoes on it, though it was not supposed to. The hamburgers, some tiny frozen patties, that were VERY VERY overcooked.
More than half of the French fries were so over fried that you literally couldn't even bite into them or brake them with your fingers. A fair amount of them just crumpled into bits of frided potato sand. Only a few fries could even be eaten, and they were still terrible.
The only good thing about the entire interaction was the Sprite and the Mimosa.
Disappointing waste of $65. We won't be coming back.

Stopped by and ordered burgers and a shake. Ate then on tables by a stream and under the trees. All was amazing. The food, the view and the view.

Recommended dishes: Cheeseburger, Huckleberry Shake
The crew behind the counter were having a loud conversation about how sick they’d been the whole week (puking, migraines, upset stomach) all the while making food for me and my young son. We were forced to listen in, in disbelief. I hope they washed their hands.
I spent $62 on this meal. The decent: fries, onion rings and a burger; The awful: incredibly soggy ham and swiss on rye. My son was really hungry but couldnt make it through a third. The excellent: vanilla milkshakes. This place is incredibly overpriced. The inconsiderate service and mediocre food don’t warrant the expense.

We literally just waited an over an hour for two sandwiches, watching everyone around us get served, including people who had come in after us. After about the 40-minute mark we checked in for an update; they hadn’t started our food yet. 20 minutes later we said we’d just cancel the order and eat elsewhere. They swore the sandwiches were almost done, so we reluctantly stayed because we were pretty starving at that point. They brought them out finally, but at NO point was there a single apology for the wait, or any indication that they understood or cared that it’s ridiculous to wait **70 minutes** for a BLT. To the contrary, they just kind of looked at us like we were crazy when we asked where our food was. And they weren’t even that busy! Yikes, y’all. They have a whole giant grill back there and they were only making like 3 burgers at a time. This is not our first bad experience (once the owners were so rude to my parents that they literally chose to walk out before being served), so we won’t be back. The cafe part on the other side of the building is great though! Recommend the huckleberry smoothies.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this place. If you're from flyover country, one may consider it expensive, but it's more than reasonable for the Pacific Northwest. The folks behind the counter were friendly, responsive, and overall pleasant. The place has been there for decades, so they must be doing something right.

$10 for a tiny slice of pie & $10 for a mediocre 8oz shake. I don’t think so.

I'm really glad we stumbled upon this place back in April. We had just finished packing up our campsite and on the lookout for breakfast. We ordered the chicken biscuit and gravy with an egg and bacon along with huckleberry mimosas. It really hit the spot!Their staff was so kind and more than willing to share about the cafe's history and just all around great conversation. We're looking forward to going back next time we're in the area.

My wife and I ate here last year and were excited to try it again last time it was so good and an older gentleman was the only one working the restaurant. Today it was two younger guys. They really didn't want to make food and it was about 40 minutes before close. Instead of making sure the food came out good. They were cleaning well the paddies were on the griddle, they came out like dry rubber. The guy at one point lost track of which was the elk and which was the beef. He brought it up to his face and smelled it and had to take a piece out of it to see if it was cooked. The onions were cut barley cut. There was a 1/3 of an entire onion on my burger and my wife's. I'm sad to say I will never eat here again. 43 dollars is a lot of money to spend on stuff I had to choke down. He couldn't bother to make the normal potato fries either I'm pretty sure he used a deep frier to cook frozen fries. It's frustrating because I don't like wasting food and since we got there later and went to the lake to eat we weren't able to go back and tell them nor do I think they would care. Plus I paid cash and they didn't give me a reciept.... I added a picture of all the onion. My wife's looks way worse and you can see the onion core to the left side and the second picture you can see that the burger is so cooked the paddy just cracked
