My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this place. If you're from flyover country, one may consider it expensive, but it's more than reasonable for the Pacific Northwest. The folks behind the counter were friendly, responsive, and overall pleasant. The place has been there for decades, so they must be doing something right.
I'm really glad we stumbled upon this place back in April. We had just finished packing up our campsite and on the lookout for breakfast. We ordered the chicken biscuit and gravy with an egg and bacon along with huckleberry mimosas. It really hit the spot!Their staff was so kind and more than willing to share about the cafe's history and just all around great conversation. We're looking forward to going back next time we're in the area.
I dont know if its because i just did a long and cold snowy hike or not. However the burger i had, and coffee were fantastic. Friendly staff answered all my questions about trout lake, and current snow pack.
