Arashi is my go to ramen spot so far in WA. I have tried quite a few places here and I've had ramen in Japan and Hawaii. I would say Arashi is the most on par with the better of ramens I've had. It's my go to spot whether alone or with people for a cold day. The Ballard location is hard to find parking and quite small so I like this location in terms of parking and size. The main con is definitely how pricey it is for noodles. It's at-least around $20 a person but that garlic broth is just the best so far.

This is officially my favorite ramen place. I am not vegan but I do sometimes enjoy getting alternative options as pork sometimes upsets my stomach. They have great options for vegan!

A friend told me to check this place out. So my wife and I gave it a shot for lunch. Quaint lil spot for a quick eat. The service was top notch. Quick and super attentive. We ordered karage for an appetizer while we both got the black garlic ramen. We ordered extra spicy paste ($1.75) on the side. One order of paste was plenty for both of us. Oddly the ramen came first while the karage came second. Initial taste of the ramen was meh. After mixing in paste and letting the bowl sit, the flavors really came out and the meal got better. Karage was good but not great. Decent amount for an app. Bowl sizes were perfect for a quick bite to quell the appetite. Overall we enjoyed our food but felt it was lacking. Not sure we'd go back w/ other places nearby.

I've driven past this plaza many times and I've finally decided to give this place a try. Immediately after entering, it already gave a vibe that the place knows how to make good ramen. Limited seatings and a wait list. My wife and I waited for about 15 minutes to get seated, which is to be expected during lunch time. I got the chicken karaage as an appetizer and shoyu tonkotsu. Next time i'd order more noodles. Their broth is hearty and it is obvious that the broth has been simmering for many hours leaving a nice umami and clean taste. The pork belly chashu is tender and melts in your mouth texture. Friendly and responsive staff. I'll be coming back real soon!

Didn't even eat yet. I am here waiting, party of two. They have an empty table that is set up for a party of four. The party of four is after us on the wait list. I seen one worker separate the tables to make it a party of two, then another worker stopped her. Guess where they ended up seating us! A party of four walked out. They separated the tables to seat us and another party of two. They could've done that with unoccupied table!!! I just don't understand the logic of it.

I ended up here by accident - and had the veggie ramen which was delicious! Highly recommend !

I visited on a Sunday for dinner - the restaurant was very busy so I was added to the waitlist and had about a 20 minute wait to be seated. Upon seating, service was prompt and the food was ready quickly. I tried the Arashi ramen and the tantan men. The arashi ramen had a light broth with seaweed and super tender pork. The tantan men had a more hearty broth which was thicker, along with thicker noodles. Both were really tasty and the portion sizes were good too. Overall, this spot is a nice departure from the kizuki ramen in the Southcenter mall nearby. I'd definitely come here if you're in the area.
