The salmon was fantastic (king salmon), but all the chairs I tried in the dining area were completely worn out. Made for an overall uncomfortable dining experience. Five stars for food. Minus two stars for worn out chairs.
Food was excellent and the service even better. Made a last minute Christmas dinner reservation for Basil's and wasn't sure how things would go. Best decision ever. Arrived and they were pretty busy and had a limited staff. Got seated quickly but we asked to be moved to the bar area since we were by the door. Not a problem. We were in need of a meal at 9.40pm. Basil's was just about to close but offered us a meal. We could choose from the whole menu. The meals were well presented and of a realistic size. There was a full range of alcohol available. The service was cheerful and helpful. A surprisingly good meal give the time.
