Out of all the boba places I’ve tried, this is not a favorite. Take my opinion with a grain of salt though, please. My main issue with HappyLemon is simply how pricey they are. And for what? I can’t taste a huge quality difference like others seem to be able to. Their tea is fine, but the price doesn’t make it exactly worth it. It’s a good cafe, sure, but I don’t think it deserves nearly as much acclaim as it has.
When COVID had us all in quarantine Happy Lemon kept me sane! At one point I doordashed daily! They were my happy place in a cup! Still is my happy place! Always a treat when I need a pick me up. Staff is friendly and adorable! Love watching the staff make drinks and bubble waffles. This is the only Boba spot that does it right in my opinion. I was obsessed and addicted. Still might be, I just dont visit as often as I used to.
Smaller than other branches I’ve visited, but the drink lineup is still impressive—and the crunchy waffle is a must-try. Staff are welcoming and friendly, which makes the quick-service vibe even better. My only wish? A few outdoor tables for summer would make it perfect.
