Best Southern cooked food in Washington if you ask me. God bless this food and the hands that made it. Amen, And hallelujah.?❤️‍?♥️?Parking: Plenty of parking and well worth the drive and wait. Recommend calling in the order first. Less of a wait.?Kid-friendliness: Kid and family friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of wheelchair access.

Excellent food here, I got the 4 piece chicken with rice and gravy, honey spicy wings with mash potatoes and gravy, catfish, cornbread dressing and mac and cheese. The chicken is organic. Everything was real good. I really liked the catfish, I wish it came in bigger servings but definitely a staple order. Their gravy is hitting, I'm getting extra gravy everything. And it was cheap $9 for order of wings and a side. All orders are made fresh so it can be a wait but worth it. We will be regulars.Parking: Parking lot

As someone who moved from the south to seattle a long time ago i've been missing true tasting southern food. When I first walked into the Southern Grill I was just starting my lunch break looking for something new to eat. I was instantly met by a kind and friendly staff. I ordered the honey wings and tried to swipe my card but due to the mag strip being worn down my card was unable to go through. The guy behind the register didn't hesitate in spotting me for my lunch. I was extremely grateful for the gesture and the fact I didn't have to run to an ATM to pull cash out. It took a little bit for the food to come out but the wait was entirely worth it. This spot has the best honey wings I had in a good minute. I was sucking every last bit of the wing off the bone. I found myself forgetting to dip each wing in ranch with how well flavored they were. The whole tray was presented beautifully. I also had gotten a few sides with the wings. While the fries did leave me wanting a little more seasoning. I cannot at all gripe about the amazing cornbread they serve. Ive lost a bit of my southern palette I've been eating cornbread a lot less in the past 8 1/2 years I lived here. I thought I had stopped liking the taste of cornbread but Southern Grill revived my love for some real southern made cornbread. They actually put corn in it which helps hydrate the cornbread and makes for a very savory side dish. If you want some phenomenal wings and southern made cuisine that reminds you of home. I'd recommend you look out for the Southern Grill next time you're out in the Tukwilla/Southcenter area.

Food with flavor! Cooked to perfection! We had Turkey neck with rice and gravy, collard greens, corn muffin, and two servings of the candied yams. My man and I will definitely be coming back and bringing our friends to partake in the deliciousness of Southern Grill! The staff are so welcoming and friendly. The dining experience is chill and laid back.

After landing in Sea Tac, we were craving some fried chicken and were incredibly fortunate to stumble upon this small shop. It's a small corner shop next to the gas station with tables inside for eating some of the best fried chicken I've ever had. We all got the spicy honey wingettes with Mac n cheese plus the plate came with a small coconut cornbread muffin. Absolutely delicious on all fronts and fresh!!On top of that, the staff working there was incredibly kind, friendly, warm and fun to chat with. If you're craving southern comfort food, look no further, this is the spot you must stop at.

Good vibes inside the restaurant. Would you call it a restaurant? It feels more like a hangout place with great food. The pastor/owner really brings in the Southern hospitality and kindness with ringing up your order. Good conversation and will let go if you're in the mood for silence. The menu centers soul food and the selection changes each business day. They do post the menu on their website beforehand so that can help you plan out.To me, it doesn't matter what their menu is since everything is so good. The food is made to order and is extremely flavorful and cared for. The catfish batter and seasoning is a bundle of joy itself. The fried okra still has a signature sliminess to it that's balanced with the crisp exterior..The vibes are good enough to eat inside but the food was still great after a drive back home. The only bit of ambiguity is the + on the menu. How much are the extra charges? What else can you stack to lengthen the meal?I got the catfish and asked for two sides and I got "complimentary" soda and chips, and I was thinking, is this part of a set? I was a bit confused. But at the end of the day, if your lunch budget has a little wiggle room, don't sweat the small numbers and just enjoy their good food.

Wasn't the worse but...not the best either..the food was way over cooked...to much sugar in the potatoe salad.....being a cook myself im a lil critical but....still wasn't worth 100$ I really need to open my own building and get some plates our there I'd be rich...

Amazing food. Pastor is friendly and fun. Dont pass up this hidden gem. Our new place to stop on the way to the airport.

This small & locally owned restaurant is only open a few days a week. It's run by a Pastor and you'll catch him running the front of the house. The place is quaint and the people are friendly. And the food here delivers in every possible way. If you appreciate Soul Food and/or Southern Food then this is the place for you. The cabbage here was everything I could ever ask for. I wanted more when I was done. The Mac & cheese didn't look like much to me but man did it serve on tastes. It was cheesy, seasoned and cooked just right. The fried chicken was cooked fresh and seasoned to perfection. My breast was still juicy and piping hot. Call ahead for to go orders or you'll spend your time waiting for the chicken to be fried. The peach cobbler here is not my preferred way to have as I like a pie crust with mine but oh my goodness, I took one bite and couldn't stop savoring this dessert. Do yourself and get you some. Open Fridays & Saturdays, and the menu slightly rotates weekly so check their website ( southerngrill1.com ) to check menu and confirm hours. This place is everything and more that I could ever ask for when it comes to good ole soul food.

OMG!!! A hidden gem found in Tukwila. I don’t know where to start. First, the customer service is outstanding. You’re greeted wen you first come in by the gentleman who takes your order. The ladies in the back cooking occasionally peek out and greet you with a smile. Second, the food is cooked to order. I’ve been wanting some fried fish since Good Friday. Y’all this place smells just like the southern eateries in the south. Smells like grandma cooking, comfort and love. I ordered the chicken with a side of cabbage. My tastes buds started dancing ?? the cabbage is cooked without meat, but it was so delicious along with the not so sweet corn muffin. ( down south we usually eat hocake cornbread). Y’all the chicken. Lawd, the chicken is organic and locally grown and you can taste it. The batter on the chicken reminds me of my mom’s fried chicken. When she would coat the chicken with flour in a brown paper bag. And fry it up in that crisco lard. ? moving on to the catfish. Can you say y-u-m-m-y!! It’s fried to perfection golden brown, crispy cornmeal and tender flaky fish. The hush puppies we good too. The menu is limited but, if you want some down home cooked food, this is the place. Besides, this gives the cooks to concentrate on their speciality. Giving you the best. ?The food is definitely cooked with the finest ingredients, integrity, and love. I must apologize for not posting pictures. But I ate all my food before I made this review teehee ? all I have is an empty container. Bottom line the food is good. To the owners and staff at Southern Grill thank you for the best southern culinary food I’ve had in my 7 years living here. You have a repeat customer and I will spread the word. May God continue to bless you and your business. ?Vegetarian options: The sides such as greens and cabbage are cooked without meat.Parking: Ample parking spaces.

The cabbage is the best I've had. The touch of white candied yams was different but really good.
