Tolu: Modern Fijian Cuisine

As someone who has not tried Fijian food before, Tolu was a great introduction! I had the Poori tacos - fluffy bread filled with a light and flavorful chicken curry. It was a very enjoyable lunch on a wet, cold day wandering through the Fremont Sunday market.

Amazing Fijian cuisine with authentic flavours and great customer services. Love that it’s family owned :)

Found this truck at the Fremont Sunday Market. Had the Smoked roasted pork fries! These fries are amazing! Creating that perfect bite with a peice of meat that is charred to perfection with a little bit of fat on it and a couple of fries with the bbq sauce and white sauce is delicious with a kick of spice! Making each bite just as good as the first bite I had! Find them at Fremont Sunday Market a long with other vendors from vintage clothing to makers! What a great overall experience!

Poori tacos were incredible! I would recommend getting one of each chutney on the tacos, they are both delicious in different ways. Highly recommend!

I was at a local bar and this truck just randomly pulled up. I've never had fijiian food ever. I order enough food for three people and every single bite was absolutely perfect. The rice was perfect. the portions and flavor were perfect. The people in the truck were very friendly and I wish I would have doubled my order. If you ever see this truck, eat.

Randomly stopped by the food truck in Westlake Park and how lucky that random stop was. Had the Fijian fry bread tacos and they are very seriously my new favorite bite in Seattle. I will definitely be going out of my way to hit them up Urban Family brewing or wherever I can. Talked to the owner for a bit too and he couldn't have been kinder!

Ordered the chicken and lamb curry tacos from their new Tukwila lunch pick-up spot and they were AMAZING! So full of flavor, cooked perfectly, and I got a free passion fruit juice that was delicious too. My husband walked in the house and immediately said "Something smells really good!". Order now and please your senses :)

We've enjoyed Tolu operating as a pop-up at a local south Seattle brewery recently. All the food is amazing and the owners/operators are very friendly and fun to talk to. Pictured is the combination bowl with lamb.
