I originally asked for a Mac & Cheese skillet but they had run out of Mac & Cheese. After settling for a unflavored thin cut T-bone steak I asked for a Apple Crumble. The cook had shut down the oven. The Apple Crumble was supposed to be available until 11 pm. I had ordered it well before 11 pm. I'm not happy with the cook. My waitress was great though.

My lady friend and I came for a late night dinner. She had the sirloin steak dinner and I had the Bourbon Chicken plate. Both were very good. Our server was awesome...very friendly and very attentive.

Denny’s is nothing special in and of itself. I mean, it’s a Denny’s. You come in expecting reliability, fluorescent lighting, and a plate of food that tastes exactly the same whether you’re in Olympia or Omaha. But what surprised me here, and what sets this particular location apart, is something you’ll find woven through a lot of Olympia if you know where to look. It’s the people.
Janet is the woman I met tonight, and her personality lit up the room like someone flipped on a switch. The dining room was quiet on a Monday night, just a few tables filled with what she affectionately called her regulars. A Denny’s that has regulars. How? Why? And then you meet Janet, and it makes perfect sense.
Not only was her service exceptional, she made the whole experience feel like I was having dinner with a friend who genuinely cared that I was there. Moments like that are rare. Moments that pull you out of the monotony of everyday life and drop you into something warm, human, and unexpected.
The food itself was exactly what I hoped for. Perfectly crispy tenders and fries that came out fast enough to make me wonder if the chef was part wizard. The space was clean, tidy, and clearly cared for. And even though this Denny’s shares a parking lot with a Chevron and sits at a busy crossroads, it somehow felt like its own little pocket of comfort.
I honestly cannot believe I’m writing an in-depth review of a Denny’s, and an outstanding one at that, but this place and Janet deserve it. In a world full of chain restaurants that blur together, this one stood out by doing something simple and rare. It made me feel welcome. It made me feel seen.
If you ever find yourself in Olympia and need a quiet meal with a touch of unexpected warmth, go see Janet. She’s the kind of person who makes a Denny’s feel like a community.

I really tried to like this location. The normal overnight waitress is very nice however I haven't usually had good experiences with the food. It's usually good if you dine in but I do not suggest take out. The food will be cold by the time you pick it up. We ordered takeout through their website, it was cold and missing items, when we asked for a refund because we did not want it remade they refused to give us a refund. They wanted us to do it through their website but you can't. After pushing for the refund they said they had to talk with their district manager who wasn't in that day. Needles to say I did not receive my refund and have contacted their corporate office. I will not be ordering take out again. I wouldn't recommend take out at all.

My husband and I went to Denny’s on Thanksgiving morning around 1 am, and we were really impressed with the team working that night. Janet was the only server, and she was doing the absolute most handling online orders, multiple tables, and catching up while still being incredibly kind and helpful. You could tell she had a lot on her plate, but she continued to treat everyone with patience and warmth. She truly deserves more support and a raise. It was just the chef and Janet working, and they made a wonderful team despite being extremely understaffed. The chef was even helping clean and support wherever needed, which we really appreciated. Overall, the staff working that night went above and beyond under tough circumstances, and it really showed. Great job to both of them!

Been to this location only a couple times, and late at night. Thorre is absolutely amazing. They are so friendly and welcoming and have really made our visits so wonderful!! It’s almost like seeing an old friend after not having seen them in a long time. If you’re looking to go during the wee morning hours, you’ll definitely have a good time with her! The cook, Josh, is also super friendly and nice! We had a great time just talking to them, basically forgetting our food because we were having such a good time! Wish i could rate higher for them alone!!
A waitress working on November 18 at 7 p.m. deliberately ignores delivery couriers. Customers in the dining room are her priority. I had to cancel my order, call customer support, and decide not to return to this establishment. I ask management to take action.

Came at around midnight and still received great service, the staff members were warm and welcoming and answered all my menu questions. I ordered the nachos and requested more meet and cheese. The staff member had explained that it was a beef sauce and to my surprise it was a beef soup. They came to the table already soggy and I had to go in with a fork and eat nacho soup. The staff member did his darndess to help me get my protein in. I ate until I was done forking around with it but would not order it again. My friend’s meal looked more promising. I just would not recommend the nachos. It was a great late night friend meal, warm and charming diner vibes.

This was by far the best service I've had at any Denny's in such a long time. And the food was cooked to perfection. The waitress was cheery and very likeable. Even though it was almost the end of her shift, she wasn't walking slowly and wasn't at all visibly showing any signs of slowing down. This definitely will be the Denny's of choice from now on!
