Twice we've driven down on days and hours they claim to be open. Twice they've been closed, even though the open sign was on. Very disappointing and I will not make this trek again.
In response to the owner We were there Sunday (Sep 28th) around 2PM. I dont remember the last time we drove down and Matchless was closed contrary to the scheduled hours. We went next door to Triceratops to have a beer and were there for about an hour. While there 2 people came in and asked the person working there why Matchless was closed. He said he had no idea. When we left, Matchless was still closed.

Plenty of parking, great vibes, and tons of seating made Matchless an easy spot on our excursion to the area. The beers we tried were refreshing and tasty. Would come back if I was in the area again!
This place has a good atmosphere and lots of seating and games. But beyond that I was quite disappointed, as a sober person who was there for a work function, with their selection of non-alcoholic beverages. Every restaurant or pub I go to nowadays has some version of a non-alcoholic beer available, but this place has zero. They only had four non-alcoholic beverages to choose from they were all sugary soda type beverages. These days every pub should have some sort of non-alcoholic beer selection to choose from or a decent mocktail, so they are very behind the times with this. It's definitely not somewhere I would go back just because of that. On top of that, their bathroom was pretty gross with nowhere to hang a purse and no paper towels in the bathroom. It also looked like the toilet had not been scrubbed in some time.
