No frills place, it's all about the tamales, as if you're eating lunch at your grandma's house. Taste very homemade. They may not have frozen tamales for purchase to go, but call ahead 24 hrs and they'll be ready
As a winner of the James Beard “America’s Classics” award, a restaurant has to be family-owned, operating for over a decade, and serve “quality food that reflects the character of its community.” Los Hernandez seems to check all of those boxes.
