This sets the bar. Paul is a phenomenal resource, and loves to share information about wine. The shape of the glass to the flavor profile of the wine... go to Cotes De Ciel and ask... you will gain an understanding that's immeasurably valuable. The wines here are above awesome, and the experience Is probably the best tasting room experience in Walla Walla... just go, quit reading.... GO!
Had a fantastic time here when we were visiting walla walla. Both flights offered were explained expertly by truly experienced staff! Highly recommend stopping by if you’re interested in Red Mountain wine and learning more about grapes and wine-making process!
Paul spent a lot of time with us talking about the wine featured in the tasting and taught us how glass shapes can change the taste and bouquet of wine. We had an exceptional time and are recommending CdC to our friends!
Didn't care for the wine nor the tasting room associate. He over managed the tasting and was condensending to our group. Had us taste a 10 year old rosè which was not presentable and should be removed from the tasting flight.
Very unique tasting experience. Paul was very knowledgeable and was able to demonstrate how by changing the glass you had different flavor and nose profiles. The wines were very good and some unique varietals for this area. Definitely will be returning and will bring people with us. Highly recommend you make this a stop when visiting Walla Walla
A very nice experience. Good prices for tasting! Enjoyed the service and the wine. We had to buy a couple of wines
This was the best presentation for tasting I’ve ever seen. Four different wines in four different style glasses with four different appetizers. It was amazing! The service was amazing as well.
The best wines in Walla Walla. Very personal guided tasting, I bought a membership and multiple bottles following my tasting with Paul. He’s amazing, very personable, fun and knowledgeable. Will recommend to all my friends & family.
Best tasting we had in Walla Walla. Amazing wine and fantastic service with a very intimate vibe. Paul is incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming. Highly recommend.
This was our last stop for the day and our visit here was absolutely outstanding. Paul went above and beyond to educate us on everything from wine tasting to the overall experience. Truly a memorable evening that none of us will soon forget. Thank you, thank you!

Paul was a rockstar and one of the most pleasant wine room managers we have had the pleasure bumping into. Very knowledgeable on so many things and he allows you to form your own opinion of the tasting notes to provide a truly enjoyable experience
We had a great time @ the Côtes de Ciel - Walla Walla Tasting Room. Paul (server) was well informed and provided with friendly service, and was extremely knowledgle. Our wine tastings were of great value. Will definitely go back!
It was a very pleasant experience! We were here for our 23rd anniversary. Our host, Richard, was knowledgeable and friendly. He was thoughtful to add a special touch with a couple red roses on our table to celebrate our special occasion.
It was a delightful wine tasting experience with our very knowledgeable and friendly host, Richard. He was very informative and friendly; he went above and beyond our expectations. There were two red roses on our table for our anniversary celebration; what a lovely gesture! We had the tasting room to ourselves, which worked great for us. We were able to ask questions about the wine, grapes, and learned quite a great deal. We were introduced to a wine called Nebbiolo, and it was lively, with some floral notes. It was interesting and nearly won us over to bring a bottle home. Zoe's Dance was a very dark and intense wine that I thought was dark fruit-forward and very lovely. We enjoyed all the wines and ultimately decided on a bottle of 2012 Reserve Syrah.
There are only two tables due to COVID and the other booking canceled so we were able to ply the winemaker with questions about the wines, and we learned a great deal. Our sampling included four reds, including a delightful Nebbiolo. Nebbiolo is fairly new to the States, we learned, and was paler than the others we tasted. However, the lighter color didn't mean lighter flavor. Hints of cherry, with and tobacco were rounded out with spice and hints of Red Mountain terroir. Zoe's Dance, a blend of Merlot & Petit Verdot had hints of spice and berry with lovely tannins and was so dark it was almost inky. We had a hard time choosing what to take home, and all of the selections were delightful. But in the end, a bottle of Nebbiolo was tucked in a bag for the trip home.
