For anyone that takes coffee seriously, stop looking and just come to Carte! I’ve been enjoying Carte for a few years when I happen to be in town visiting (about twice yearly). But this time I noticed the coffee hit me different… like so good it almost made me cry! I’m a Portlander and it immediately tasted like home - like some of the best coffee in the world. I asked the barista what was different this time and it turns out they’re roasting their own beans now and doing a super rare process (I’ve only had at PushXPull in Portland). It seriously is amazing. Don’t stop! This is Walla Walla’s best kept secret, and honestly guys… it’s time for you to compete in some of those global contests. You were already so good, now you’re the BEST!!!

It can be tough to find a great latté in smaller towns. Not sure why, but I suppose ideals are different. Carte Coffee in a small-ish town, far exceeds any expectations. Absolutely phenomenal. The crew is SO kind. Josh, I presume the owner/manager, was working on a new product with fellow crew members and they all had equal input to the product. As well, they all clearly had a knowledge of ratios and the science behind coffee. Very rare to find.
The layout. The lighting. The bathroom lighting.
A wonderful space. Thank you all for caring. Coffee and experience. On point. 😁
I didn’t order any food, but overheard the cookies are homemade from a local bakery.
The drinks were made inefficiently. The espresso tasted like it was allowed to sit and oxidize. My iced latte was mostly ice and tasted watery very quickly. Also the cup lids leak and drip easily.
