We had a wedding rehearsal dinner catered by Dora's last weekend. It's commonly known (IMO) that they have the best, most authentic Mexican food in town. We had a small order miscommunication but it was easily fixed, which was a relief mostly because we literally already had twice as much food as we needed. We are still eating rice and beans, because they're excellent. Fortunately tamales, which were big by regular local standards, freeze nicely. We did end up donating A LOT of food to the local homeless shelter, which they appreciated very much. We would definitely have another event catered by Dora's and highly recommend them, as we always do to anyone who asks about great Mexican food. BTW, the tacos were also very good size, and the quesadillas are one of my favorite foods in town. If you haven't tried them, you're missing out! I think it's also important to mention that about half of the order was vegetarian, and just as delicious.

I always enjoy the delicious food from Dora's. The asada tacos and birria plates are our go-to, the quesadillas are also a great choice. Quick and personable service.

I visited this restaurant with high expectations because it truly has potential. Unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming. The food was completely bland , it lacked flavor, depth, and soul. When you go to a place like this, you’re looking for more than just a meal. You’re looking for food with heart, with seasoning, with a story. This felt empty.

Perhaps, out of concern for hygiene or fear of COVID, the staff doesn’t taste the food , but that might be part of the problem. My professional suggestion: taste your own dishes. A kitchen that doesn’t taste is a kitchen cooking blind.

To be fair, I know some people enjoy this restaurant, but if they believe this is authentic Mexican food, they likely haven’t experienced what true flavor and seasoning really are.

I’m writing this review with the hope that it’s taken as constructive feedback. This place has everything it needs to be great , it just needs soul, seasoning, and a stronger connection to the essence of Mexican cuisine. Btw is really expensive for the meal you are having . It isn’t worth it

I so badly want to give this place 5 stars because I LOVE their food!
But to get 5 stars from me it needs to be the whole package! The ladies who cook in the back are really nice and good at their job! If it was just them there I think this place would be BOOMING!

I do not like the guy at the front counter at all though. He has been a jerk to me. A jerk to my mom, and is someone who is still freakishly scared of Covid, and tries to throw his own logic to “protect himself” against it on us too.
One time I walked in, he was on his phone and didn’t come help me at the front counter until 5mins later of me standing there.
He always has a terrible attitude, and has no care in the world for anyone else’s time (even if you order an hour early).

Probably the only place I choose not to tip at all anymore, because I know it goes to him!

Great food. Busy place! On the day before Christmas it seemed like a lot of folks were ordering take-out orders for families. They work hard here! We enjoyed the history (displayed on signs on the wall) as well as the food. We’ll definitely come back when we are in the area.

at the new location, the food is first rate but they have not gotten their beer licence yet, the atmosphere is almost there but it's still being worked on

The meat was flavorless. You could tell they pan fried it on a griddle, and did not grill it like traditional Carne Asada. It was missing that fire kissed flavor. It also tasted greasy, so you could tell it was sitting in the grease, and fat.
