The owner does EVERYTHING from welcoming and seating you to preparing and serving your meal; with this in my mind, you need to be patient, but the food is SO worth the wait! Every aspect of our meals was so fresh and delicious. You can hear him blending every sauce and chopping fresh veggies. The nachos were amazing, my torta somehow remained crisp to the end, my wife's red enchiladas were to die for and my son's fish burrito was much bigger than expected and came with a habanero sauce that somehow was tangy and not too spicy. The chef/ owner takes a lot of pride with his dishes and you can taste the love for his craft come through. This restaurant is a must visit every time we come to Walla Walla.

The food is very authentic. Cozy and pleasant small dining area, semi open kitchen, incredibly clean front and back of house. Always immaculate bathrooms.

This is the real deal. You're not going to get a deep fried chimichanga. You *will* get things that come from the heart of Mexico (example, pork in pipian, so delicate and complex that you have to savor it) and if you're looking for quality and a disciplined approach to Mexican food, this is the place.

It's not fast food, and sometimes it's a tiny bit of a wait. It's worth it, especially since it's a dining experience.

Try it, and please ask the wonderful owner about how he selected these dishes. You'll learn things about Mexico and the cuisine that isn't represented in media, or most modern Mexican restaurants.

I've lived in Mexico and dined at some of the highest quality restaurants in about 15 states down there. This place really scratches an itch when you want food that feels good for your body, when most Mexican places leave ya feeling bloated.

The nachos are unbelievable, as is the flan. The presentation was immaculate, and the atmosphere provides a warm and personal experience. I simply cannot recommend this restaurant enough for anyone swinging through the area

Had the huarache and torta and both were out of this world. Delicious sauces and the owner is awesome.

Great food. It’s run by 2 people, so you have to be patient.

Food was incredible! The service was … weird. The owner seemed super stressed. Almost annoyed by the fact we were there. Who knows what is behind that. Maybe help called off last minute. But rarely had this kind of experience or treatment. But hey, you come for the food, right, and that was great. Super flavorful. Cheers.

This is the authentic Mexican food you would have if you visited a friends house for a meal and Grandma made dinner. Manuel and his Mom have created a slice of Mexican food heaven with great food, great stories and food made with love, as only a Grandma can. Will be going here every time we visit Walla Walla. Thank you Manuel!

We live in Walla Walla, and this is our second time at Grandma‘s kitchen. It is a very quaint and comfortable location in downtown Walla Walla. The owner is originally from Mexico. He and his mom work together in the kitchen.
The food is amazing! Try the nachos and then go from there. My wife had a tostada, and I had the burrito. We will definitely be back, again and again.

This restaurant is amazing. The care and attention showered on us (party of 9) was phenomenal. The food is even better. I had the fish burrito. Thicker than my forearm. The flavors will keep me coming back again and again.
