I went here for the first time the other week and had a wonderful experience. I couldn't decide between the regular sourdough and the garlic sourdough and Caroline (I think she was the manager or owner?) gave me a sample of the garlic one. It was so good I got a loaf of each! I also grabbed an apple pie for my dad. Caroline said it was best eaten warmed up with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream, and she was so right. The lemon tartness of the pie and the sweetness of the ice cream complimented each other perfectly. Every customer that came in seemed to be a regular and they were greeted by name. It was such a positive experience and the quality of the food speaks for itself. I look forward to returning the next time I'm on town. Thank you Wheatland Bakery! ❤️

ANTS ON MY FOOD. I typically don’t leave bad reviews but my experience was not great. I usually place in big orders for events but recently I went in personally to check it out. The bakery was dark inside and the packaging of their iced goods was just cling wrap which mushed it all over. Additionally when I went to purchase my cookies at the register, ANTS were trying to crawl into my bag and all over the counter. I flicked a few a way and the guy noticed and did the same. I checked my bag to see if any had made it in and also found they gave me the wrong cookies when I was the only customer and pointed directly to the kind. Due to cleanliness, I won’t be going there again.

Just found this place a couple weeks ago and Love the staff here! The baked goods are nice but I have to say, whoever owns this place needs to invest! Lighting, atmosphere, food cases, even the floor, all need a good update. Could be a great place!

It’s clear that if you know the staff, your experience will be smooth. However, as a newcomer, I found it challenging to navigate the store. The bread is good, but the service needs improvement for first-time visitors. I felt invisible, was skipped over several times, and once I finally got help, the employee then took a phone call. To the other employee who felt the need to dramatically shout and run over to the lady who walked in last, you are not high school anymore.

Story Time… I live in Utah and one of my sweet friends mom passed away yesterday. I searched online for a place to send her a nice sweet treat! And for some reason, I just kept going back to your cute bakery. I went over your menu many times and finally decided on a yummy box of treats. I went ahead and placed the order and had it sent through DoorDash. I then called the bakery and asked them to write something on the box for me and gosh did they deliver. They wrote everything I wanted on the box and everything was delicious. My friend ended up texting me asking me where I got the yummy treats from when I told her the bakery She said “you were never going to believe this… That was my mom‘s favorite bakery and they ordered many birthday cakes from there.” My friend had never been there, but I feel as though her mom led me to order from your bakery.
Best baked goods in WW, service is always great, and the employees always seem genuinely happy to help.

Back around 2008 ish my dad my family we fixed their vehicles obviously we haven't lived in Walla Walla in a while but my sister tried to come by there because of what we did for John himself we were supposed to get free pastries and drinks for life every time that we came there obviously once per day but they never honored that which I think is really screwed up.
So years later I'm back here in town I'm a truck driver I pick up loads here now sometimes obviously I'm pretty sure they're not going to honor that because they're a bunch of liars and I don't know if John is still around but it's a shame that my family fixed their vans and they'll honor they just say we don't know nothing about it you can't prove it it's really screwed up!!!
One of these times I'm going to come by and see if possibly they can honor that but I'm still going to come by none the less obviously if they did honor it I'd only have a couple things of course I'm not going to just take a bunch of things people got to make a buck and run a business I get that!
I hope John is doing well this is definitely the best bakery and I've been across the whole country hands down they're still not a bakery that makes better Goods than John wheatlands!!!!

I ordered a cake to be sent to my friend via DoorDash and they wrote my digital note on the cake! Such a lovely touch! I had no idea they were going to do that. The cake looked amazing and my friend said it tasted just as good. Very reasonable price as well. I wish I was local I would come here everyday!
