Surprised by the lack of hospitality. We showed up at 430 and so that can be seen as late but they refused us. Could have done 1 or 2 pours and made us fans.

Pursued By Bear is a highly enjoyable tasting experience, and not just because I got to meet a celebrity. Kyle MacLachlan and his team are incredibly gracious and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond interacting with everyone equally. Cute, classy and casual atmosphere with some damn fine wine. Only one minor piece of constructive criticism - more tables / seating needed. These meet-and-sips are crowded, and I personally wanted more breathing room to linger. Yes, it's an intimate community gathering event - but my options were limited to: sharing a small table with strangers, awkwardly hovering in the corner, or hiding in the bathroom. I'm unsure how this can be accomplished with the small building, however I'm VERY grateful it's in Walla Walla. For someone who doesn't typically enjoy wine socially, my expectations were exceeded. Looking forward to our next visit and eager to support.—Other noteworthy positives: high quality finger food for snacking, desirable merchandise for sale, variety of options to sample.

I’m typically wary of “celebrity” wineries but WOW Pursued By Bear knocks it out of the park. The wine is high-quality, the space is beautiful (darling pink building with intimate northwest vibes inside), staff are very welcoming and knowledgeable. We had a lovely experience. Definitely a must-visit tasting room in Walla Walla.

We had a great tasting experience here a couple days ago! All the staff were amazing and Kendall (I hope I am remembering your name right!) was great at presenting both the wines as well as the background of how Pursued by Bear came to be (for those of you who don't already know). I am usually more of a white wine drinker so enjoyed and purchased their Blushing Bear, but I also really loved their Twin Bear (not just for the name/reference). The tasting room provided a cool calm respite from the heat of a Walla Walla summer afternoon and they were very accommodating considering our 8 year old was with and really wanted to hug the bear. Thanks to all for a great experience. We also really loved the design and the artwork. We were passing through as we are moving from Minnesota to Seattle, and are already planning a weekend trip back to Walla Wall so we can visit again and try some of the chardonnay we hear is in the works!

Our group already loved Pursued By Bear wine, and even so the PBB tasting room was a revelation. A beautiful space — our afternoon there was a highlight of our visit to Walla Walla. Stacie took great care of us & taught us so much about these amazing wines. We left well-stocked to carry us through till we can make it back!

Beautiful tasting room, very friendly staff, excellent wines! Wish I could have bought more wine here, but cross-border shopping is tricky with wine! Will definitely stop in again!

My first visit to this tasting room was during the Grand Opening event in April '23, but I've been on the mailing list for a couple of years. Until then, I had only tried the Blushing Bear Rose and the Baby Bear Syrah while allowing the 2016 Cabernet to gain some age in the cellar. The Rose is crisp and delicious. No need to age it; this wine will impress the day you buy it.I opened the Syrah on Christmas to complement a homemade lasagna and I can tell you it will hold its ground against any Syrah (and most other reds) you can find in the valley, maybe in all of Washington. A transcendentally smooth yet complex experience, it will keep you guessing well into the second glass. As for the other varietals, I can't wait to open the bottles I purchased at the event, but I feel every one of them should be saved for a special occasion, especially the ones signed by Kyle himself!I am most impressed by Kyle's devotion to his fans; he was on hand to welcome every one of us who traveled from near and far alike. He has clearly put a great deal of energy and passion into this endeavor, as he has always done on the silver screen.Olympic Otter
