Great wine but let’s get to the second reason why to visit… the dog! Call to make sure Jacque is working. Watch out he doesn’t look like a track star but he will try to run out so make sure you knock before you open the door. Okay back to the wine. Call or schedule and appointment before showing up. This lovely family only does two tastings at a time so they can talk to you and give you the experience. Honestly I love it! It’s a small tasting room that makes you feel like you’re hanging out with the family. It’s a MUST try in the area. The wines are phenomenal I’m so happy someone mentioned it to me.

Every time we go to Smoky Rose is such a treat. The first time we stopped in, we could tell this was a very special place. The winemaker and his family are so kind, thoughtful, and creative. The wines are phenomenal, but the atmosphere is just as fantastic. We usually get to talk with Jodi but this time Josh's parents were both there and we had such a lovely conversation with them - we ended up staying for two hours! I am so proud to be a member here and so glad we found Smoky Rose!

Fun place to hang out, talk, and drink wine. It also has the cutest bulldog ever who might try to hump you, but it's a fun place. Really small family business that I love, so go out and support them.
I don't even know where to begin. We showed 30 min before closing and they were starting to bring the signs in. We were greeted at the door by the owners father who did our tasting. Not only did he pour our wines he elaborated on why they are there. Best wine tasting experience we have had to date. Father is retired military. And all kids retire military. We cannot thank them enough for their service or sacrifice. We owe so much to you my friends. Best wines we have tasted yet and look forward to coming back.

Josh is so knowledgeable about making great wines - and their heart is evident in every glass and bottle! If you haven't tried a bottle of Smoky Rose you need to do that very soon!

Upon a recommendation from Liberty Lakes Winery, we made a reservation at Smoky Rose. It was easy to find and just as easy to drive by. Compared to a lot of Walla Walla Wineries it doesn't look like much. But do not judge this book by its cover. This is an up and coming winery that features some solid wines and some genuine down home hospitality. And its all about family. Josh makes the wine and will love to talk about it with you. Jodi keeps things humming and is a real joy. On this day Josh's dad and sister were on hand to help out. And we quickly became part of the family. You will find better wines in Walla Walla. But you will experience a winery and winemaker who is doing some fabulous things and be able to say, "I knew them when..."
