Place was super busy (construction workers) but really not much of a wait. My daughter and I were looking for a good sandwich and we weren't disappointed. The bread was soft, the subs were delicious, and the ladies running the place made you feel like you were very welcome. They also have Whitman Wednesdays for students and staff of the college which is great. A little discount can't hurt.
Good sandwich but could use more lettuce. I would pass on wheat bread next time. Probably not a big seller and mine was past its freshness date. Great service. Closes early (4). Wouldn't recommend the bread bowl for soup. They don't take much bread out, so you get little soup.
How have I not visited or heard about this place sooner?? I grew up in Walla Walla, but it was never on my radar until recently. Maybe it's under new ownership or management or something. But I absolutely loved the menu items (something for everyone) and the quaint atmosphere and the quick, personal service - and it's location! It's kind of hidden on a street not a lot of people drive on or know about, but this should definitely be at the top of your list for sandwich/soup...
