The smallest salad I have ever paid $18.00 for, $62.00 for a 4oz filet. The smallest dessert I have ever seen, waited for refills that would show up at the 3nd of dinner. We left hungry still and got some fries at McDonalds, smallest and almost $400 for a dinner we left hungry still.

The restaurant is wonderful with an incredible ambiance. The price is well worth it for the service, location, and food quality. I highly recommend it to everyone. It is a very welcoming place with a very chic and elegant atmosphere.

Had a great experience both nights we stayed in the hotel. The first night we had dinner from the restaurant but were able to eat in the bar. The second night we just had some old fashioneds and had a great time visiting with our server Ryland! Thanks Ryland for the great service and conversation!

The service was lovely. So was the ambience. And, the fresh produce shareable were to die for. The restaurant sources it from a local farm called “Frog’s Hollow”. And that alone made the dinner worth it.

The main courses, however, were not as well done. I had the halibut, which was dry. It also had a slight fishy taste. I should know better than to order halibut in a place where it can’t be flown to the same day from AK. However, it also was served with beans, which were badly cooked. They were a mix of overcooked and mushy, yet half of them were mealy and very undercooked. This is a rookie mistake.

The lamb was served with a mustarda - way way way too much. It overpowered it so much that it had to be scraped off. Then, weirdly, they served it with a table pour of lamb jus. Pouring a jus over a mustard sauce is odd. Pick one. Pick the jus. Or dab the mustarda on the side.

The deserts were good. I do get tired of chocolate tyranny in the desert world. I know I’m in the minority. But even the ice cream sandwich had unadvertised chocolate crunchies on it. Like mustard, chocolate overpowers everything. That’s fine for a chocolate desert. But the ice cream sandwich wasn’t that.

I wanted to like this place better.

Apparently gone are the days where you go out to a “fine dining” restaurant expecting good or even decent service. The food was very good and thus 3 stars when putting it all in perspective.

I’m at a loss to point blame. It’s pretty much the same everywhere we go and try to support these days. It’s no wonder most Americans just eat fast food.

The Marc Restaurant has recently become my favorite place in Walla Walla for breakfast. Their attention to the details in the dining room and at the table is excellent, the staff is attentive without being intrusive and the breakfast menu has lots of options that don't break the budget. I highly recommend.

There's no doubt The Marc is beautiful and the staff was very nice. However, the kitchen marred our dinner. Our food took a very long time between courses and was quite bland. The beef tartare was served too warm, but we were starving so we ate it anyway. The lamb dish was still blue in the middle. Our neighboring table seemed to have similar issues with timing.

I hope they did not share our stomach issues the next morning.

I would not go back or recommend this restaurant.

All the staff was very friendly and helpful. I had Clara as my server, and she was amazing. I had the tuna crudo with some sparkling and a Syrah with the filet mignon. The crudo was very good, as was the filet, but the "red sauce" that encircled the plate was way too strong, and if you had the steak in it, you couldn't taste the steak. Spinach was good. Obviously, a pricey experience, but in a historic hotel and lovely building/setting.

The Food is superbly exquisite as is the motel lobby. It has been retained in most it's glory of the original wood working which was built in the 1920's. The craftsman ship, the huge open lobby is like a trip to the past of high class elegance. I am in love with this place. The service is as professional and charming as the building its self. Thank you to the owner who decided to keep history intact with a slight modern twist.

We ate at the Marc last Saturday after a big wine event. Admittedly we came in a little rowdy and in silly moods. Leena and Brett were absolutely amazing in taking care of us, tolerating our silliness, matching our energy, and providing such an excellent dining experience. We were spoiled with awesome champagne to start, the hors d'oeuvres had great variety and were delicious, the mains were seasonal, beautifully plated, and so tasty, and we finished with an absolutely DELICIOUS sherry! Thank you Brett and Leena for such a memorable experience and such exceptional hospitality! P.S.- I highly recommend getting the Gibson on the cocktail menu ?
