Great wine, facilities and view!

This was our second visit, and once again the wines were fantastic. The setting is absolutely gorgeous, with such a cool and peaceful vibe. We were a little disappointed that the tapas are no longer on the menu, since we came looking forward to the wine and tapas pairing—it was such a highlight! Hopefully they’ll bring it back.

I had such a great experience at Valdemar Wines that I made a point to visit them twice during both of my trips to Walla Walla this year! Each visit was just as memorable as the last. I did the Valdemar Family Reserve Experience twice and am always thoroughly impressed by the quality and depth of their wines.

The staff are super knowledgeable and welcoming. The views from their winery are stunning, and the whole atmosphere made it easy to relax and enjoy the tasting experience.

Highly recommend stopping by if you're in Walla Walla - this place is always a highlight for me.

Valdemar Estates is absolutely stunning, but our experience was a big letdown. We came for my best friend’s bachelorette weekend and waited in line for 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. The host was unwelcoming and told us we couldn’t order tapas or buy a bottle to enjoy there, but when our server arrived, he said we actually could. Once we did order a bottle of wine, it took so long to arrive that we ended up leaving. The inconsistent communication and lack of hospitality took away from what was supposed to be the highlight of our trip. Beautiful setting, but sadly not matched by the service.

Christopher gave us a Great tour. Gorgeous establishment with a family touch. We had a group of eight that did the tasting tour. Quality all around. Delicious wines!

Great winery. Friendly staff, very knowledgeable and the wines are great. You can enjoy their WA wines plus their Rioja wines which makes the experience very interesting!

Si far, this is the best winery and experience in Walla Walla and the most beautiful venue in the area! It never gets old! 🍷

Tour was really well thought-out and delivered, tapas pairings were a delight each round, facility was meticulously clean and aesthetic, and of course the wine was excellent.

Staff was polite despite us accidentally overstaying past close, and the next day was very helpful when we contacted them about a lost bag (which ended up being somewhere else but staff was super communicative while we were still looking).

This was our third time at Valdemar, both experience prior had been fine. Our group made a confirmed reservation on the deck but at the time of the reservation, the staff told us she had no record and that I must have made a mistake and booked at their Woodinville location. I showed her the confirmation email in which she disregarded, pretended she didn't understand how that could be
, and then walked away. Once we were helped by another person (30 mins later), we were seated yet no one came by for what felt like another 30 mins. There was a table of two next to us with a couple that were outwardly drunk, to the point where they were making lewd gestures and the woman had clearly vomited on herself - it was honestly a nightmare. We ended up gong through two tastings before we had to call it and pay for the remainder. I'm not sure if Valdemar is going for a rebrand to cater to more of a rage-y party scene but this was not the vibe we expected. The wine was meh compared to the options in the Southend and the service was absolutely shocking.

First, if you just want to go to have a nice glass of wine and tapas, I'd rate it 4.5 stars and say it's a go-do while in Walla Walla.

The wine is honest: the Roussane blend is a decent St Joseph substitute. The Syrah and Mouvedre I tried are typical of the varietal. Oddly, they don't do a GSM despite growing or sourcing all 3 grapes. At $65-75, they are way too proud of the wine. For that price, head into downtown and grab an amazing Cote Rotie retail with the import, disti, and retail markup boiled into the price. The Spanish Rioja is nice, but I'm spoiled having had its like in Spain for under 10 Euros.

Nice ambiance. Friendly servers. Good-enough wine, but it's too costly to consider taking a bottle home.

Absolutely amazing place. We visited today and had an awesome wine tasting and some food! The wine is imported from Spain and we saw the owner dining next to us. Definitely recommend to visit!

My new favorite winery!!! This place is absolutely gorgeous with plenty of seats within beautiful views. We sat indoors due to the cold temperatures outside. They have ample parking and easy access via stairs or elevator to the second floor tasting room. Walking past the barrels and wine-making area was an added bonus.

The wine is DELISH! They were able to modify the flights to our likings and our server was very knowledgeable. They also provided cheat sheet cards with each set so you could go back and re-read about the wine if you are forgetful like me. I never felt pressured to get anything extra, and our server notified us of the varying costs when I did order something different. The food is delicious as well, but a bit overpriced if you are asking me.

I went into this with no expectations and left with a membership! Highly recommend this winery.
