For our first Walla Walla wine region visit, and hopefully the first of several, my wife and I went to Valdemar Estates for an indoor lunch hour reservation to enjoy tapas and wine. Let me tell you - this place is exceptional. There's a WOW factor as you approach the building, and immediately admire its brutalist and modern contemporary architecture features. Very large and commercial feeling experience to us. The service was perfunctory, and the staff didn't appear to have much of any knowledge of wines. The wines were also not our 'cup of tea'.
Great Spanish style wines, delicious tapas, amazing views, and beautiful atmosphere! This is one of my favorite wineries in town and one of the few that offers food. Sitting on the back patio on nice warm evenings is simply the best.
