We haven't been to Barking Frog for a few years and I am glad we chose it to entertain our out of town guests. I have to mention that Khalil, our server, made the experience better in so many ways. His attention to detail, suggestions for our gluten-free guest, knowledge about every drink and food item, and comfort with engaging with us in conversation put us all at ease. I think we all wanted to try all his favorites because of his descriptions. Everyone loved the halibut, salmon, scallops, and wine. We will definitely come back.
Food was great; we had the scallops and the steak. Service was perfect. It's a big wine place, we didn't order wine and there was no subtle judgement like at some places. Good times.
Fantastic dinner! We dine out often, but it's rare when a restaurant inspires me to write a glowing review. Our experience last night at Barking Frog absolutely deserves it. Our water was attentive to every detail but without being intrusive, and every course was exceptional. The prawn appetizer was outstanding, the beet salad was mouthwatering, and the ribeye steak was seasoned and grilled to perfection. We couldn't ask for more! We also loved sitting in the beautiful outdoor courtyard, listening to the soothing sound of the water feature—it melted away the stress of everyday life. Thank you for the wonderful memories on our special anniversary. We will definitely be back!
Excellent service and atmosphere. The food was delicious with an excellent selection of entrees.
We've been in the Seattle area for 8 years now and just discovered the Willows and Barking Frog. It's absolutely the best place we've ate at out here and we've only gotten to brunch here twice so far. My husband is in love with the Biscuits and Gravy and I loved the Huevos Rancheros. The service here is top notch, it's high end but not snobby. We're already planning our next trip here!
Nice choice for our anniversary celebration dinner. Service was excellent. Our server was perfectly attentive without being overbearing or “trying too hard”. Loved the beet salad! Halibut and scallops were very fresh and delicious. Corn cake and honey ice cream dessert was a nice creative finish that wasn't too rich but balanced the earlier courses.
Wonderful food (the salmon entree was outstanding!). Our waiter, Tim, was always checking in without hovering and the rest of the staff was very accommodating and friendly. Wonderful night to eat outside and celebrate our anniversary. We'll be coming back :)
Great food and service was exceptional. Only complaint is tables are too close together and conversation from neighboring tables means little privacy
We have previously enjoyed our meals at Barking Frog. Tonight's was a tad underwhelming. The food was okay - both my wife and I felt our mains were underseasoned (she had the salmon, I had the duck). Neither had very substantial sides. The foie gras two ways as an appetizer was good but not worth the price they charged for the amount served, at least as a “shareable”. And it could have seriously used toast points for the mousse portion. But bread is a $10 course. Seriously. You would have to eat a whole lot of bread to get $10 worth. Dessert, the espressos, and tawny port was our favorite part of the meal. We may go back but only for brunch at this point. Sorry Barking Frog.
We haven't been to Barking Frog for a couple of years and decided to check it out again last night. From the service to the ambiance to the absolutely amazing food, we had a wonderful experience. This restaurant has always been a standout but they are Michelin star quality now. We're planning far more frequent visits from now on!!

Went for lunch, it was not that busy but it took forever to get everything ordered. Drinks took a long time, food took over 35 min to get. I would only go back for dinner.
Fabulous everything. Very special experience. Food was over the top, beautifully presented. Waiter was exceptional.
We selected the Barking Frog as the restaurant for our 25th wedding anniversary, we are quite happy with the experience that we had. Our server's name was Jorge and he was friendly and we felt like he was personally invested in us having a good time and enjoying the menu. We were provided with an amuse bouche of a pea emulsion that featured fermented garlic with some pickled onion garnish, it was such a layered flavor story, it was just a small dollop on a spoon, just a taste, and my husband and I were just delighted We had the caviar, we've never had caviar before, and we were excited to try it, it was lovely. The highlight of this plate where the potatoes that tasted like they were cooked in either beef tallow or duck fat, they were really delicious. I had a salad that featured something called pine snow, there were beets and arugula, with a buttermilk emulsion and a bright pink acidic sauce. It was really lovely. We enjoyed the cheese plate, the cheeses were from Oregon, Washington, accompaniments were thoughtful. We were lucky enough to have the yellowtail, it came with a fermented garlic sauce and avocado purée. Fermented garlic is so much more delicious than I ever could've guessed, while we were at the restaurant, it sold out completely. I ordered the Doug fir salmon, it came with wilted, bitter greens and I love bitter greens. Eating this dish was like being outside on a drizzly day with a campfire in Alaska. I'm from Alaska so I can speak with some experience. This was such a delicious entrée. It came with a pile of salmon roe, The skin on the salmon skin was served very crispy. My husband had the scallops with carrot and a yogurt sauce, they were cooked absolutely perfectly. My husband teared up, he feels very strongly about scallops and again totally delightful very wonderful experience. very experiential eating. We did not have dessert because the dessert menu looked beautiful, but lacked that sense of a journey. Espresso 10/10 Would return
The service was very good, a little slow on checking in on needs. The food though small portions was very tasty and different. Overall a very good experience. To finish, the deserts are amazing visually and tastdfully
All of the staff are excellent! Torrey Lewis, wine director, always makes sure we are taken care of. Wish you were closer to where we live. Thank you!
