Mercurys Coffee Co. - Woodinville

I have stopped by here a few times in the morning before heading to work. Some of the staff who helped with my orders were kind, and it was nice to see everyone working hard. I rarely leave reviews, and when I do, I try to write only positive ones.

Today, a different staff member, whom I had never seen before, assisted with my order. After adding a tip that accounted for nearly 48% of the total, they requested my signature. Of course, it's partly my fault for not checking the amount carefully, but this felt excessive.

I don’t know if that employee was having a bad day or was just tired. I can also understand the stereotype that some Asians don’t tip well. As someone who also works in the service industry, I always tip at least 25% and respect those who work hard. However, today, I felt so uncomfortable that it crossed into discrimination, making me wonder if that person simply dislikes Asians.

Still, if you work in customer service, is it really necessary to start someone’s morning on such a negative note? I’m not sure if they treat all customers this way, but it felt like an unspoken message telling me never to come back.

Since this is a busy place, my absence likely won’t matter. However, I’m leaving this review to advise future customers to carefully check the tipping options before signing.

Great coffee and staff

Drive in coffee stand and friendly staff. My boyfriend and I always got the euphoria drink and it’s definitely unique to mercurys and we can’t get that drink anywhere else (to my knowledge). Overall a staple in our coffee places

Mercurys Coffee Co. in Woodinville is fantastic, especially at this location. Not only is the coffee great, but the staff goes above and beyond, especially when it comes to my puppy, Shadow. The amount of attention and treats they give him is absolutely adorable. It’s one of the highlights of our visits! If you’re looking for a place with excellent service and a warm atmosphere, this is it.

The worst drink I have ever received, every time. All ice and barely any beverage. Almost always made wrong. The service is worse. Bad attitudes, no attention to what they're making or the patrons, and poor service overall. They will also take the screen away after they run your card and usher you through and then add a tip that you did not select, especially if paying on a gift card. I have caught this numerous times and sometimes have had to argue with the person to complete the screen myself. I have also seen the proof when asking for a receipt when receiving my drink. I have called the corporate office numerous times to report this and cannot get through to report it. It's the only drive through coffee nearby but it's not worth it to think maybe this time will be different, every time. Good luck.

Seems the people making the drinks here don't know how to read. Maybe they just don't care. Doesn't matter if your order is in writing or spoken to them, wrong every time.

Drive-thru or walk-up only Mercurys Coffee on the Slew, just a short walk from Wilmot Gateway Park, and open late on summer Weekends. Friendly staff and this fun location - but not outside seating - a few picnic tables would be a nice addition. Don't throw rocks - $1000 fine!
