Nice restaurant with consistently good service. The menu has a nice breadth that most everyone can find something they like. It’s in a great area of Hollywood with easy parking and a huge outdoor patio. It has an owner/operator vibe and they are very attentive and friendly. Very reasonable prices for this area and quality. We don’t go here often enough but love every visit.

There are plenty of outdoor tables, but few are equipped with heaters. We enjoyed live music and were fortunate to secure a table indoors, as it was extremely cold outside. I selected this restaurant specifically for its cioppino, which I had been craving. My children opted for burgers, which turned out to be excellent. The ambiance was pleasant, and our waitress was friendly. The food was decent—though not exceptional, possibly due to my high expectations. For wine enthusiasts, this place might be a hit (we didn't sample any, but it was clear that it was popular among the other patrons).

We stopped for a "small bite" after visiting a nearby off leash dog park. We ended up ordering ½ dozen oysters with the house mignonettes and cocktail sauce along with the Bacon Wrapped Dates with a goat cheese dip & herbs. I mentioned the house made sauces/dip were excellent. We were treated to some frites so we could sample the house ketchup which was amazing. (I never thought I would say amazing and ketchup together!) I then enjoyed the Bistro Signature Chicken Pot Pie with a puff pastry top. Best I've ever had. My wife had the Croque Monsieur & Tomato Soup with ham, gruyere, pickles, apricot jam, mustard on parmesan bread. (The cheese was melted over the outside of the bread!) I was skeptical about this mash up of flavors but she gave me a couple of bites and it was killer. (Especially dipped in the tomato soup!) We accompanied it with a bottle of the Tuesday Cellars Chardonnay. So much for a small bite! We were pleasantly stuffed and made a vow to go back.

Food was good and felt very neighborhood hole in the wall. Oysters were good, my partners ragu pasta was a hit, and the clams were okay. The service was somewhat slow but I think they only has two servers for a completely full restaurant. What bothered me was they dropped off the check, we closed out and were getting ready to leave, and then a server came back just as we were getting up (prob about 10 minutes after we closed out) and said they'd forgotten to charge us for a glass of wine and they needed to. We'd gotten 3 total and only been charged for 2 apparently. No problem we paid but especially given the slow service it left a weird taste in my mouth. I worked in the restaurant biz for a number of years and if we'd forgotten to charge someone for something, knew the service was a little subpar, and they were already closed out, we would NEVER go back and demand they pay it. It would be "the glass is on us, hope you guys come back soon!" conversation. It definitely took my perception of the elevation of this place down a notch.

Valentines Day 2024. Simply the best meal (Filet + Scallops -- both specials for the day) -- out of this world and a great start to 2024! The owner & staff make you feel like family, the cozy atmosphere is laid back, and the food (esp. the specials) is some of the best on the Eastside!

Baruc and Sam are great waitpersons and Frank, the owner/chef, knows what he is doing. A good mix of comfort food and weekly specials. I recommend the wild boar ragu, a dish hard to find in the Seattle area.

They do really well with their appetizers and the sort of upscale pub food items such as the chicken pot pie. However, their entrees are a bit lackluster.

The food was as good as any we ate in 40 years in NYC. The room Was a bit chilly but it didn't matter the boar ragu was soooo tasty as was the seafood risotto. It was as if you could taste the ocean in the clams. The best part is it's close to where I now live.

The charcuterie is so-so. Most of the cheeses and meats are too hard. The fingerling potatos are very good. I don't recommend it.

Interesting menu, well-prepared food, attentive service and fine regional wine make for a splendid evening experience. Indoor seating is limited, so reservations are suggested (maybe required) for Fri or Sat night.
