First time going here and we really liked it! The place is clean and neat, it looks like the tables and chairs are new. The atmosphere was really chill. We ordered the halibut and fish/shrimp combos. Food was hot and good! It’s fried, but wasn’t overly oily or anything. It was awesome. The hush puppies were also really yummy. Employees are friendly and nice and attentive. Will be coming back!
Skippers is a dying franchise. Its so sad.It used to be hand filet and battered cod. I know. I worked there in the late 90's. Was so much better. Now it's mass frozen and shaped like a large fish stick. And it's Pollack instead of cod. It tastes ok. Just absolutely not the same. The clam strips, and shrimp still taste the same. So does the chowder and the tartar sauce.This Skippers is in a gas station.They were closing. And there was no way I could arrive in time....
I like to stop in when getting my Chiropractic adjustment. The facility is connected to a Chevron station, and does have a drive thru window if you need that option. Burgers are very good, right up there with other higher end burger places.
