Very good food, atmosphere, and service.

I can no longer recommend this restaurant in good conscience. Had to wait for a table, watched other tables get served before us when we ordered long before them, and they got the order wrong. Left with not eating.

Speaking as a chef 👨‍🍳
I came for Father's Day brunch, but I didn't realize it was a buffet. (i love buffets) I just wasn't expecting it. Everything was cooked perfectly. I wish i had an option for 4.6 stars for the food, but I just can't give 5 stars on their food for only trying a buffet where they would usually run a full menu. The bacon was thick, and the perfect balance of
crispy/soft ratio. The biscuits were crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy inside. The scrambled eggs were not bad as far as buffets go. Most brunch buffets overcooked their scrambled eggs but not farther lake house! I prefer my scrambled eggs on the softer side, but that's just preference. All the fruit was fresh ripe and vibrant.

Bottomless mimosas are always a good time & i never had to ask for a refill. The service was impeccable. All in all it was a 5 star experience from a team that clearly cares about what they do and who they serve. I will be back to this cozy restaurant/bar to try other offerings.😁🤙🏽🤙🏽

I was here for Mother’s Day and I regretted it. The buffet was subpar, food bland, and they couldn’t keep up with what few people were there. The service was nice and the laddies running around serving tables did a great job, but everything was managed improperly.

I do hope they were having an off day and it’s not always this way, so maybe give it a shot, but I won’t be back. Too much money for what I received.

We enjoyed a Mother's Day celebration dinner at Fargher Lake house. I had house smoked salmon Mac & Cheese that was baked to finish it, with 2 garlic bread sticks. My wife had the meatloaf hamburgers. Both where well presented and tasty. The Best part was the service. We got all the attention we needed without the staff overwhelming us.

Brunch was horrible for $30 each! Cinnamon roll and fruit were good…this was like a continental breakfast at best!!!! Didn’t even include any beverages server was kind and actually the worst brunch I’ve ever had!!! No place to even put lids while holding the plate, silverware was at the buffet rather than the table which was reserved!cinnamon rolls weren’t separated nor were the large bunches of grapes which you would need your hands to break a few off … bacon was burnt and had to hold the plate and lid and silverware while trying to add condiments in line… I’ve had amazing brunches with crab legs, smoked salmon bagels and locks ,prime rib and fresh pastries and salads, including beverages for $30 per person… we spent $120 for 3 seniors and one adult plus $50 for beverages for a best western style complimentary continental breakfast!!! There was supposed to be eggs Benedict!!!! Scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon ,biscuits and gravy, tiny pancakes and French toast and fruit…for $30 there should have been a chef behind the small buffet table to assist with lids and there were barely any serving utensils…very unsanitary and no carving station nor fresh seafood this was a joke! Worst $200 I’ve ever spent and for a motel style “buffet “… even the flowers at the table were wilted !!!!! One star at best for the biscuit and the cinnamon roll were great if only they had not run out … do better next time!

I've loved FLH for as long as I've lived in North county. We've celebrated anniversaries, birthdays and special occasions here. I've always defended them online, when people complained about slow service, over-priced food, etc. But after one too many bad experiences, my loyalty was wavering... then last night happened. Top 5 WORST dining experience my husband and I have EVER had. After watching 3 tables who were seated after us place their orders and get drinks, we started to feel a little unhappy. When we finally got our appetizers and drink, those 3 tables were being served their dinner. Our appetizers: $14 for TWO fritters and $10 for 6 COLD mozzarella sticks. Dinner showed up an hour later, it was NOT what we ordered AND burned!! It took another half an hour to get a waitresses attention. In the end, we paid $30 for two tiny fritters, 6 cold mozzarella sticks, and one soda...waisted an hour and a half before going next door to the market and buying a delicious $11 FROZEN pizza to take home for dinner. They should have comped our appetizers after all that. We will NEVER go back! Not even if they paid me.

Great option for us in North Clark County

Disappointed. We were seated at a booth with sticky food smeared on the bench. Our appetizer was delivered with dried food on one of the individual plates. The fish pieces were overcooked and tasted like old oil. Fries were good though. Calamari was bland. Husband's burger was good. Had to flag the waitress for more water. No vegetarian entrees offered. It's really too bad as it's a cute place, but ... doubt we'll go back.

Came here on a whim after an outdoor adventure with my wife and kids. So glad we stopped in. Fantastic food. Friendly servers. Has a small-town vibe that reminds me of a Midwest diner. We got the brisket fritters as an appetizer, and the entire family was blown away. Looking forward to our next visit.

Food has been good in past but tonight our food was almost inedible, when we brought it up to the waitress after only taking 2 bites we were offered 10% off our meal. Will not be returning after many visits.

Nice place, especially being in the middle of nowhere. We live nearby, also in the middle of nowhere, so it’s really nice to have there. Really good food, tasty drinks and very friendly staff.

Owner, Bill, did a great job turning an old run down tavern into a really nice, local restaurant with excellent food and good service. I've supported it since it opened, wanting a really nice local eating establishment. Now I'm done. No more taking friends, visitors, family for a nice, relaxing dinner. Why? After being told several times, he still brings low/limited talent singers in, with amplifiers blaring, DURING THE DINNER HOUR! You cannot sit across from your friends/family and even hear what they're saying over the din created by these amp-blasting "singers". Their place needs to be AFTER the dinner hour, probably on a Friday/Saturday night, but NEVER during what one would hope for a relaxing, peaceful dinner with friends and family. I endured this four times before deciding the place has been ruined for me and my friends/family by this amplified "music". I'm done Bill. No more, until/unless you figure out you're running your local clientele away. Visitors, if you see a "singer" with an amp when you walk in, turn around and leave. It's not worth it.
